The part I don't get is...why did you leave your ship in the first place?

You know, my buddy and I were the first ones to find your Helios. (System O*a? Or next to it. Maybe M*l, I forget.) Anyway, we scanned it down, warped to it ... damn! 2000m away. Well, not to be deterred, my buddy spent the next hour narrowing your ship down with the scanner, and flying to it.
He gets there and I hear on vent, "Dude...I'm in a covops. I have no guns and I can't fly a Helios. Uh..." Well, I wasn't going to waste another hour trying to get out to it, so I told him to bookmark it. He went back yesterday and found the shuttle. Was pretty disappointed.
We wouldn't have given it back though...

I left my ship because I wasn't sure what I'd find once I warped into the signature. I've read horror stories about 30 battleships insta poping you etc. so I figured since I'd just be taking a peek for a second the ship would be safe enough...
I didn't realize though that I was too close to the deadspace location and it wouldnt allow me to warp to my bookmark.
What I am actualy curious about is how the ship could be probed out or found if I couldnt even warp to it myself.
I won't be doing that again though. Guess I'll just have to invest in a real cloaking device or just dock in a station and check it out in a shuttle
Oh well, lesson learned.

Originally by: Waxau Well actually, chances are he was 12 years old, and was struck with grief and guilt I was like that in 2003. Now days tho...im a cool pirate
You're right tho. Not all pirates are *******. Take me - im not a mean guy - I dont swear, do drugs, listen to goth music, and salute the devil - But im a pirate ^^
I have no greater respect when it comes to piracy, than when the opponent doesnt see me as some sad whining 12 year old (btw im 19 rofl)
I (sometimes) swear, (sometimes) drink, listen to goth music and (sometimes) salute the devil (when i'm feeling like acting a bit stupid ). And i'm not a pirate, actually am fighting pirates.
See? They're all so cute and fuzzy them pirates! (no it's not ironic, love ya guys (well not all of you)) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Like I said ... we probed you, warped to it, and it put us in the deadspace complex. My friend, not to be deterred, then approached the signature for the next hour, narrowing down his scan as he went.
Eventually you just appeared on grid. Even though he couldn't warp to you, he could approach you. It was then that he realized he had no guns and couldn't board the thing. So he just stared at it for a while and warped off.

Dern Morrow: Dont feel too bad about not getting the covert ops. He only had a proto cloak fit. Thats probly why he got his ship back.

Quote: although in my opinion "non-concord sanctioned combatant" would be a bit more accurate.
That's like calling a Janitor a Sanitation Engineer. Or a prisoner in a Federal pen a Correctional Tennant....(swear to God, I heard that once.) PC ftl. Rant off.
But yeah that dude apparently was cool as hell. |
