After all these years, after all these centuries, New Eden is still lawless. I know many people like to see it this way, but as I can see and hear also many people have more sense.
I'm not talking now about people that stand in public forums on their chairs bragging about things that are sheer crimes against humanity or otherwise lack all common sense. No, I am talking about that there is no place for two civilized parties to turn to, apart from pleading and petitioning to the gods, to solve disagreements in a civilized manner.
No conflict or otherwise disagreement about an issue can be turned to an Intergalactic Court of some kind.
If, in between our wars, that may be justified or not, we want to have a civilized and respectfull relationship that is not altogether based upon who has the biggest guns and/or most deceiving politics, we need an institution that can speak unbiased justice upon some matters that are brought to it.
I therefore plead for such a place where civilezed people can address their disagreements with eachother and solve them in a more civilized way than war or conflict.

So you want another organisation that turns a blind eye on slavery and other crimes against humanity, like CONCORD does?

Not at all mr. Extropy. Like I mentioned I'm not adressing the major crimes against humanity or lack of common sense that seem to be all over the public forae in the more uncivilized regions of New Eden.
If at all, a war against slavers is most justified and I pay my part in that. Although I was born in freedom, I know that this is only due to the effort of alliances with a bright perspective on these matters as the one you are representing. My father and his fathers have taught me where to listen for the drums. No, its not that at all.
We both know the system of Justice our clanelders have brought us to where we are today. A proud and strong Republic that fights inhumanity and injustice everywhere. I'm more adressing the fact that through these interracial interactions that are coming with the benefits of technology that make New Eden seem smaller by the day, we even can warp to a gate with a zero-meter precision if I'm correct, none of our own sensible laws seem to be applicable due to different points of perspective.
How am I going to settle a trading difference between myself and a civilized Gallente humanist? These things do happen. I dont want to settle such a disagreement with otherworldly entities with force or soley abide by the otherworldly laws. An independent institution of Intergalactic Justice could be just the thing to civily settle an agreement.

I agree to this point, but what I fear is something completely different:
The first trading difference about ferrying fellow Matari who are enslaved by those Amarr beasts this court will settle will somehow legitimate the treatment of people as a commodity.
Of course I'd love to see more civilized manners, and the organisation you propose will have to come to life one day, thats for sure. But for now I prefer sticking to my guns and drones when resolving matters.

You are probably right mr. Extropy that its perhaps all a bit too soon to think about this. Yet, as long as I or others dont voice this matter in the Intergalactic Summit we might never see the day.
Until then I gladly fly alongside the Ushra'Khan to bring humanity and justice to our galaxy.

This is the best we can do to make New Eden a place where all human beings can coexist in peace and prosperity and where finally disputes will be settled in a civilized manner.
Death to slavery!
