STUDENT BLOG ENTRY...REPUBLIC UNIVERSITY...HEIMATAR/ORTNER/HULM.....
Two days in the Pod...and I want to KILL somebody...what I wouldn't do for a cigarette...why can't I find any nicotine implants on the Market?!?...hmmmm...I smell a business opportunity...
I can't believe I let my dad talk me into this..."No future in fortune telling"..."best to pursue something practical"..."being broke is a stone's throw from being a slave"...him and his sayings!!!...what do I know about being a pilot?!?...and THIS POD!!!...how was I supposed to know you can't smoke in a Pod?!?...
So my counselor at RU recommended I run through some of the combat tutorials to get acquainted with my new Reaper...student grade Reaper...by the way...bare bones...first time I launched I was sure something fell off in the Dock...
anyway...my obnoxiously calm ship AI...Aura...suggested we try out one of the Deadzone training sites...EXCUSE ME?!?..."Dead-WHAT"?!?...as my humble little rattling-at-the-seams Reaper approached the site...Aura was kind enough to point out that there were three Pirates nearby...THREE...PIRATES?!?...I responded that they didn't seem to notice us...maybe it would be best if we left them alone...practiced on something a little smaller...like maybe a rock...something that doesn't shoot back...Aura completely ignored my advice (note to self: have Repair look into this) and proceeded to calmly lecture me on how to Lock on to a target...
well...I guess it was her infuriating calm and condescending voice that got to me...against my better judgment I proceeded to lock on to the nearest Pirate...
not having a clue what I was doing...I watched in fascination as my little Reaper slowly locked on to my Killer...*cough*...I mean Victim....it was quite exciting...little colorful squares slowly collapsing on him...with a little white square circling around him....
As soon...and I mean THE VERY MOMENT...my targeting system acquired a lock...BOOM!!!!...PIRATE DUST!!!...Aura asked me how I felt...she was receiving some unusual readings from my Pod monitors...I shouted WHO NEEDS CIGARETTES and proceeded to lock on to the next Pirate...same thing...colorful little contracting boxes...cute little white box circling around...and BOOM!!!...
ditto for the third...
Now I noticed that debris was floating around where the Pirate ships had exploded...I was getting set to navigate over to the nearest one when...HUH?!?..WHA?!?...the little white box was BACK...and was CIRCLING THE DEBRIS...PICKING IT UP!!!...stunned, I wondered what was wrong with my targeting system...I started poking around my ships controls...and...
DUH!!!...that little white box wasn't part of my targeting system...it was ANOTHER SHIP!!!...I hadn't killed any Pirates!!!...I was just locking and watching the other ship the whole time!!!...as I scanned around to make sure nobody had noticed...I SWEAR I heard Aura giggling...that little binary b****...
((Hi all! Shiny new RPer here. Second day in game and boy did I feel like an idiot - I couldn't recreate the timing of that training mission if I wanted to! Since then I have really begun to master combat piloting - I have reached the conclusion that if I don't actually FIRE my guns - there's a very low possibility of me actually KILLING anything!
If you're in Hulm space and looking to harass someone...or jam their comm channel with misinformation...by ALL means...look me up...*cough*...*mumbles*...does sarcasm work in space?))

Welcome to eve, brother.
If you are looking for an alliance ((for minmatar RP)) I would reccomend one of the three following. Electus Matari, Ushra'kan, or Namtz'aar K'in.
All three alliances fight for the minmatar people, and while they share diffrent veiws on how this should be done, maintain freindly relations with each other.

To be fair to him, it IS hard to tell with Minmatar. I guess even other Minnies find their women so hideous they mistake them for burly, hairy men.

Brother?...BROTHER?!?...*taking a longer than usual drag of her cigarette*..."Cz Ire"..."CZ IRE"...*taps out a quick search on the local Bounty database*...damn...nothing...hmmmm...wonder what putting out a Contract on him would run me?...*scans the eWallet*...ohhh...I don't have enough to pay somebody to scratch his paint...
*flicks the spent butt across the room, chuckling*...I love watching the cleaning bots try to figure out where THOSE keep coming from...
well...looks like using the front door on Mr. Ire isn't going to get me far...maybe I can call in a favor from the Student Hack Team at RUN...they still owe me for my assistance during their last competition...

((Well Ire, you sure know how to get on a girl's bad side *frowns*. Nothing personal, but if I find out you're NOT legally blind I'm gonna have ta pod ya *evil laugh*. Thanks for the corporation tips though - that is definitely of interest to me.
I actually ran into a recruiter from a corp called Neh'bu Kau Beh'Hude...he wanted me to call him "Mr Magnifico"...*winks, you KNOW where this is going girls*...he sounded intriguing...another one of his corpmates, Black Necris, hooked us up...I liked the sounds of their corp...kinda edgy...like me...*giggles*...anyway..."Mr Magnifico" wanted to continue our interview at a place he thought we might be more comfortable...his "HQ"...*rolls her eyes*...yeah...like I'm falling for THAT one..."HQ"...if he ONLY knew how many seniors at RUN tried THAT line on me when I was a freshman...))
