Eh, Its been a long while since I took something our HC said, seriously.
I think that was after they started to beg in alliance mail for people to show up..

Hell. Out of ASCN is no big deal.... the HC probably hates me as much as they dislike my CEO by now.
Oh... and I have had directly first hand experiance with IAC's dealings.... that's how you can gauge my knowledge..

The south is pew pew and we live for it. IAC have NAPs for many various reasons and we daily see red and blue in the same systems even not in war time.
IAC has a good standing NAP with Maelstrom Alliance who have as it turns out have a LONG standing friendship with LV and their coallition. That is the nature of the south. You blue for economic or pew pew reasons. You red for the same thing. Chimp and Myriad were offered NAPs. Myriad broke their NAP and we punished them. We got bored with their insignificant existance and another ally, United Legion, set their sights on Myriads outpost. By this time Chimp were Nap'd but United Legion crushed their existance. UnL are also red, last time I checked, to Maelstrom. We don't get involved, they fight for their own reasons.
The point is... we have blues as allies to various people who are red to each other. IAC doesn't get involved with their dealings and if they want to try to use us as proxy that is up to them.
-A- in my oppinion are good PVPers. On the pew pew level IAC has fielded faction battleships, cruisers and frigates on pvp raids vs our enemies and the people we see doing the same thing consistantly is -A- when they raid us. That is when you start to respect your enemy, at the pew pew level. They have had respect of IAC for some time. If you think IAC is making a deal with the devil then it shows you do not understand the situation.
You can thank McFix's first contract against us for bringing us closer to Ragoons. Goons came to our aid just as AXE did. RA imo have showed me something I never have seen outside my corp and alliance and that the true meaning of comrade isn't some buzz word. Its a way of life. My brief chats with -A- leadership have come off nothing short of making me feel the same thing. Its nice to talk to people you shoot and know that a) no hard feelings and b) lets see what trouble we can make together. EVE at its finest moment imo.
But one thing is for you OP... don't burn your bridges with your past friends. Don't get too consumed with fustrations. EVE is a game of persistance, your friend today can be you enemy tomorrow and visa versa. Look at Fix and LV, LV trusting Fix pilots enough that they put a bloody titan within reach of destruction and not once was it every threatened.
Don't be too mad with ASCN leadership. You could have rebuilt into something better with those who have the tenacity to become something more effective. You are swiftlyy moving to be a joke to their community and to this one.
