Ok, well last month my main account with around 20 billion isk dread pilot was banned by CCP. I was banned without warning and went to log into my main account. I was then sent a e-mail about my account being banned. I was like wtf what did I do to be perma banned. I read the mail and it said I was selling my main account on e-bay. I was like well this will be sorted shortly as I have not ever had a e-bay account so they will certainly see my side and unban my account.
I went thru the petetion process for 15 or so days without another response from CCP my corp mates asked about it via petetions and all received the same response if any. "We are talking to the mains other account about this dont open another petetion about it.
Anyway the short and skinney is they have two screen shots of my main account "I have posted screen shots of my character and my skills on these forums and others many times in the past and recently mailed them to miz cenuij (he took credit for posting it on ebay but CCP doesnt belive it) Anyway he states he posted them on ebay to get me banned. he was laughing about how easy it is to simply take peoples info from the forums here and others with their skills and their screen shots and post them on ebay and have them banned. I just am posting this so that people will in the future be very careful with wha they post on the forums and send to their "so called friends" This can happen to you and let me tell you all this it is heartbreaking to have a character that you put so much into time wise to just have it yanked away for honestly no reason. I was told it had to come from soneone with access to my account (screen shots and skill sets were from two different times so should be easy to figure out it was scammed but they wont belive me or you when it happenes to you as well) so take care and watch out guys this is no laughing matter.

How you can prove them ? ...
There are logs system but you can't copy/past your logs on a petition because you can modifiy these logs ... How make logs if CCP don't believe you ...
It's the same thing for this. You can't prove which it's not you ...

Your right I can not prove it was not me apparently. I was just sent message after message stating it had to be someone with full access to my pc./ Well how can they make that decission when "e-bay" does not show a ip etc form who posted it. It can be anyone who knows how to cut and paste my stuff and post it on e-bay. ffs if anyone wanted to get someone banned that is all they have to do.. It is a mess and it is CCPs system that is broken. They allow people to post screen shots and skills on their forums and anyone can cut and paste them and repost them... It is a crime against me the loyal customer...

i wouldn't be optimistic in any way about getting anything back... i've had 200 mil taken out of my account for 'buying isk' when all i've done was trade a GTC.... they don't investigate properly, nor do they really care.
i know 200 mil is trite in comparison, but the level is the same.... petitions are a dark ****ing territory. if you petition it, you'll get harassed... if you talk about it in forums, you'll get banned from the game. yeah, that's how your GMs roll, so just be ready.

its like the story from the german player who bought/lot something from a scammer , and got banned then!
so - what have we learnd ... take careful with pics dont buy anything ominous and never lot it ...

No way would you get banned for talking about in here. That is what this forum is for isnt it ? I used to trade gtc but with people being able to simply state they did not get it and the person selling gets banned for no reason that has also been taken off my list of things to do.
The funny thing is I have spent around 2k plus on GTC sold them legally for my character just went on a huge recruitment drive on my main placed all my stiff from my other accounts on him (plus corp stuff) so we could move it and purchase a nyx. I had the nyx and everything ready to go (miz cenuij by the way and it was a scam so I was lucky in that sense) but had it all ready to go and they ban me.. Why would i HAVE DONE ll these things to sell my account for less than I have put into it ? It is complete garbage and oh ya the ebay account shows the same account being sold 2 months priro and getting posotive feedback from the buyer saying it was agrea account etc then reposted 2 months later or so.. It was simply to get me banned and tbh It hurt as I have lost the one thing I really love to do when I get home.I and my 7 year old son sit around doing ship configs talking about it at dinner inthe car etc.. This not only hurt me but a 7 year old who now sees our system as being completely unfair. I try to teach my son that your innocent untilproven guitly guess that went out the window here...

ingame$$ should never mix w/ RL$$. play the game, dont buy your way through it.
i know, i know. you dont sympathize w/ me. but dont worry. this thread is in violation of posting rules (it may be forum but you dont discuss bans in public)... so i was just getting in b4 the lock

There is absolutely nothing wrong with spending some money legitimately within the confines of the game. GTC's and character trading are two of the most forward thinking ideas i've ever seen from an MMO company. Without a doubt they are the sole reason I and some other friends of mine play this game.
As a player who has traded 6+ characters already in the short timespan i've been in the game. I am seriously concerned and worried that a ban can come about so easily. Especially in the case of such a long standing player, without at least some investigation or concrete proof.
I've come to expect more from CCP. At least have the courtesy even though it may not be required, to show such a long standing supporter and player of the game the proof of the charges you lay at his door.

well, ok... that may not seem like much to some of you, but for our noob corp it's a lot... and having your ass handed to you by GM's for no reason is not cool. Ilove this game and i find it disrespectul as hell having some assclown who doesn't even investigate the issue hand me a bill that doesn't make any sense....
/agreed w/ the OP.. this game is cool.. but man, the policies need to be enforced w/ discrecion... holy ****.

Resolution to the OP's issue.
A) CCP needs to BAN/DISSALLOW cross-linking of pictures on this forrum. By doing so they are complicit in this kind of scam. Someone bragging about skill via a screeny on the forums should not get them banned because some tool box decides to yoink those pictures and make a fake ebay entry then report it.
Mods on these forums should be removing those pictures as SOON as they appear.
It's important to keep in mind GM's of any MMO rule with an iron fist. "Justice" is not their aim. Unilateral enforcement is their only reservation. It's like that for any MMO. Play them for awhile and you'll understand that. Falsely accusing somone in the aims of a ban is a serious issue in all MMO's. Eve is no exception.
It's a wretched policy, but they make that reservation in the EULA.

but something is wrong with the support! every noob got an answer in 10 min when he/she crys "i've lost my ship - bSSSS!" and when a old player how pays hundrets of euros/dollars for playing got banned - no answer in 2 weeks ...
is this a support for paying customer?
i think its not and it makes me very sad - because i can remember other times!

Well, I still have two accounts that I use. It is very difficlt to play now however with nothing and haveing to start over after 4 years...
I just wish that their was something I could do. I mean as I said the character they stated was mine was already sold on the fforums pre mine being banned and the ip would have changed etc but they will not change their minds it does not make sense as the guy who bought it loved it and said he would buy a bunch more so that in itself stated he took possesion. I am the point of thinking to cover up the real sail that took place they grabbed my stuff off of www.evegeek.com or one of those where my skills where and took my screen shots from a forums or something and put them together not that hard tbh and made me the fall guy...
I will say the gm and I hashed it out after I was repsonded two finally after the two or three weeks and he just would not buckle he said it had to come from someone ho had access to my account to get those things well sure it would I have posted them a thousand times over the years but it does not have to be someone with access to my account to post my stuff on ebay but they just do not seem to understand that and I do not know why...
