Harpies are fun since you can break 100km optimal without too much effort and this lets you dance around the edges of bigger conflicts while being able to warp in and out at will. You forego the ability to tackle, but both the Caldari AFs suck at the role anyway.
My first love was always the Ishkur, however.

Originally by: Oku Ushi Hi everybody,
I¦m skilling for an Assfrig at the moment, because I¦m pretty openminded towards every race and the skills for the frig and small weapons doesn¦t take so much time I want to ask you what Assfrig you would recommend me.
I want to use it for some Solo-PvP and as a little, mean funmachine . My skills are pretty good for Armor and Schieldtanking, I have also pretty good Missileskills but I would prefer it to improve my Gunneryskills.
Thanks a lot for your help
I would prefer an Assault Frigate with 4 bonuses.
Other than that, a Harpy. Their range is very useful.

I am very surprised by how good the Hawk is compared to my harpy, i Have if not the same or relativly the same standard of skills in either area of guns and missiles. For the Harpy i would recommend if in a gang maybe Ion or neutron blasters and a MWD for speed. For the Hawk i would recomend Tech 2 Rocket launchers equiped with which ever damage type required but javelin as these are great for breaking tanks i counted around 8-12 rockets in the air at once from 4 launchers with the javelin rockets.

Originally by: Jonak I was thinking of making a heavy assault for bounty hunting. Would the Deimos do the job?
This isn't really the place for this but I will answer quickly...NO the deimos sucks, it looks great on paper but is a pig to fit and fly. It is the most useless hac in the game(only really useful in small gangs as a damage dealer), the ishtar is a far better choice.
SISI testing ôDonÆt forget to start the log server before the client; the logs are needed for bug reports when something goes wrong.ö Regards HexCaliber

Check again. CCP removed the agility penalty on overdrives in a recent patch. You get more speed on overdrives for loss of cargo. Nanos give you a speed increase, but not as much and an increase in agility, for a loss in structure hitpoints.
FYI they changed the agility penalty to a mass penalty. So it amounts to a similar effect.

Prefer the Blaster Harpy myself
4 Light Neut Blaster II 1 Gisti AB, 1 20k scram, 1 fleet web, 1 micro Cap Booster 1 Sar II 1 TS Explosive Hard.
If you have the gonads to armour tank with 500 armour and like a ship that circles at 650ms at 9km (its optimal with Null on board), this is the ship for you, and you wont find a caldari ship that does more dmg for its size.
Lotta fun but prepare to go PoP !

I like the Enyo, but to be honest, I like the Ranis for a damage dealing frig better. So in that case I would definetaly say Ishkur or Jag, cant speak for Caldari or Amarr as I dont fly em. Enyo and Wolf are fun when you need a change, but they are kinda the same ship just with different weapons.

As regards the Harpy, exactly how would you fit it out for anti-frig support work in large engagements?
If someone has a setup that works I'd be a happy chappie indeed

Would something like this be the thing?
150mm Railgun II [40xSpike S] 150mm Railgun II [40xSpike S] 150mm Railgun II [40xSpike S] 150mm Railgun II [40xSpike S] Launcher Slot
Tracking Computer II Tracking Computer II Sensor Booster II Sensor Booster II
Tracking Enhancer II Tracking Enhancer II
can you not fit one magstab II on there? I don't have a harpy handy atm, but the extar damage is nice from even a single magstab.

Ok got a Harpy sniper sorted, and was looking for a gang oriented damage dealer setup, would this work good? Its almost all gank and would depend on someone doing some on-sire remote repping...
