Sell them, do insurance jobs, just don't use them anymore. In the last few days starting to realize that the days of using BS are over...slow locking, slow warping piles of &^%$. A small gang of BC (preferably drakes) BBQs pretty much anything.... Anyone else noticed the short comings of post kali BS camping ? drake = mini raven of death (at least mine is)

A gang of drakes or feroxes could easily do better than battleships, although they are more vulnerable Great being a gallente blasterthron pilot, aint it?

Dr Slice MAFIA Pirate Coalition	Posted - 2006.12.23 22:49:00 - [7] I do think BSs can still play a specific role at a Gate camp. I feel a little better with a Rokh next to me, rocking Hvy Nos/Hvy Neuts. to quickly break tanks on big stuff. I think I might start using mine more often.

Just have to be abit more creative and you will be good to go. would be nice if you could use dictors in low sec. but not yet. I have alot of thoughts on low sec piracy atm and i think alot of them would be of use. I just dont have the heart to let crying noobs ***** about there ships. In delve i dont care because thats bob space. but thats another story.

It works just as fine as it did pre-kali, except for those few that actually use "those" modules that got fixed.. We were camping today and a megathron warps in and jumps, we follow.. 3 drakes. We scram the guy and attack but instead of panicing like most, he fights back. One by one we all explode...void and blasters :( ...was alot of fun though. (the guy was so happy to have killed us all) I'm enjoying these smaller ships so much I've sold all my ravens and done a insurance job on the rokh I've been using. (and for someone whos flown ravens constantly for over 2 years that says something about them) The only point of the raven before from my point of view was solo gate work against other BS. With the removal of stabs and HP boosts it's just not something you can do any more.... they had to go. I think any camp still needs a few heavy hitters, but the ideal ships I guess are command ships like the astarte to fill this role. Lucky we have a few in MAFIA

For **s and giggles I filled my Ferox's lows with named inertial stabs, put on a named MWD i had, and the agility was just omfg. I'm considering giving an inertial HAM Drake a go for gang work sometime. I'll probably die a quick death, but fun is fun. Anyone try it already, if so, thoughts? Lucky we have a few in MAFIA Yeh I was in this camp it was one hell of a battle missiles flying everywhere lol. And I have soo much respect for the pilot who kileld all of uor drakes heh. If we had had t2 dmg setup I still dont think we wudda won lol. We took him into half hull was soo awesome jsut a shame we didnt finish him off :(

It's cool Drakes are serving the purpose but I mean you could do the same thing in BC's before as well HACS. I mean the Vagabond, Muninn, Zealot, Sac, Cerb, and Eagle were all really good sentry tanking-ganking ships to fly around in with squads. Same with some tech 1 cruisers including similar styles as the Drake. So maybe I missed something in the post here :P

So maybe I missed something in the post here :P I guess the point is with the 5% bonus per lvl to shield resists just two of these ships can pretty much perma tank the guns and you still have over 600 scan res. It's like the old days before sensor stacking nerf....and I don't need to train for a c ommand ship to do it. Kali forced me to try smaller ships and I think there are alot of die hard BS pilots who should do the same... The down side with all this is solo play at low sec gates is largely gone unless you are taking ships a couple of classes below yours...

It's just hard to get that going before kali. It was just to easy to snipe at the gate. I guess now people are starting to see the light of small squads in smaller ships. Which is how it should be. Don't leave out your logistic ships either, they're pretty handy in cruiser squads even while taking sentry fire.

I couldn't care less if you agree with my style of PvP. I'm a player, check I kill other players, check I enjoy it, check That makes me a PvPer. I don't give a dam if the odds are weighed against the victim... Hell, before combat do you check to see if you both gonna stand a even chance of winning ?, I don't. Hence, as I said earlier we lost 500m isk of drakes to a single blasterthron. Was a TON of fun though I play to win, I don't go into any fight with defeat as the objective. If you lose a fight in eve it's coz you didn't bring enough boom to the party or you made a tactical error. I ALWAYS try to run if outgunned, no sense in being BBQd for no reason. All I do in eve is kill guys, if I lose more than a ship a week I'd be broke in no time at all.. Happy xmas edit: the whole point of this post was to point out a gang of drakes will kill over twice the traffic that a gang of BS will... more kills = more fun
