Awesome afternoon indeed !!!
Thanks Marlona for this great event, and also for the fun PvP that resulted afterwards! Placing the event in an incursion constellation was the greatest idea ever
Good fights all !!!

Congratulations to Caterpil for getting the final blow on the Moros and to Asgaidrah for the final blow on my capsule!
I have contracted the 1,000 Rifters and PLEX now. I just want to remind everyone that the determination for the other prizes will take me a few days to figure out. There is still a lot of kill mails that need to be posted and I need to figure out the point multipliers and penalties.
Again, thanks for such a great turn out. Local tipped a tad over 200!!!
I will definitively be doing other events soon and most likely have another Flight of a Thousand Rifters! This was by far the most fun I have had dying in a long time. Special thanks to CCP for helping make it happen and to all those who donated prizes!!

Thanks a lot Marlona, just recieved my 1000 Rifters
The event itself was awesome, I liked the point multiplier idea as it gave the event a greater variety (although I only got in on one ship that counted) overheated all my high slots just as the Moros went down and it paid off. Will definitely be attending any future events.
Now what to do with 1000 rifters? I wonder if thats enough to take down a Titan...? |

Only one way to find out!
So far it looks like 190 Ships killed (8.84B ISK) destroyed in related kills.

It has been at least 48 hours to post and API verify the kill mails. I am now beginning the process of figuring out who scored the highest in points. Please bear with me as this will indeed eat up my entire night.

I'm curious how you calculated the points. I didn't expect to win anything but I was on 14 kills (plus your dreadnought) and did 6,166 damage. That's 86,324 points (or 92,490 points if the dreadnought km counts, which it appears to (as captain bevier was only on that mail, for instance.)) |

What makes me giggle is the fact that there was no Rifters on the winning list lol. But the Bombers that just sat back from 100km got all the cool stuff lol. |

If the flashies had been sensible and brought sniping corms similar to my set-up those bombers wouldn't have lasted long. But yes, if you know you're not going to get shot at then bombers was definitely the way to go if your objective was to win prizes.

Edit: Oh, it was the ambiguous wording of the rules. 'If you are on any kill mail with a frigate or destroyer class hull counts as a 1x point multiplier.' should have read: 'For each killmail you are on where the victim is in a frigate/destroyer class hull you will receive an additional 1x point multiplier.'
Oh well, guess I have to be content with getting the first 4 killmails of the event and the highest ISK non-dreadnought killmail of the event.
I don't see you on any kill mails.

There was surprisingly few people taking out potential competition. I will try and post any statistics I find interesting when I get home tonight. There was two players who were doing very well in the point area only to be disqualified because they were on someone's kill mail using a cruiser/bc after they lost their frigate/destroyer.
As far as people trying to meta-game the point system by farming their alts in noob ships at a safe spot; capsules, shuttles and noob ships did not count as a point multiplier. I should have specifically stated this in the rules, but in being overwhelmed by this being my fist event, I forgot. For that I apologize. I will include those exceptions for the next time.

Can I get a Porking from Star Wars voice over "Almost There" award? I Got to within 4k of my targeting range before I was popped. Bering Flashy Red was not so good for me there. I Tried to get back in a rookie ship only to get popped again. Did not get a chance to come back again as the Dread was dead. Was very funny. I Giggle my little bum off |

So you did change the rules retroactively? That's bullshit and shady, but not surprising. Just because you're dishonest, don't assume the rest of us are. All my kills were legit flashies on grid with the dreadnought. |

See, this is exactly why CCP shouldn't facilitate these events. When one of these turns out to be a scam, or the rules get changed because the organizer doesn't like who the winner was under the criteria he chose, he just changes the rules. CCP shouldn't facilitate scamming.
I think it's ironic that I get banned for 3 months and posts deleted for calling shenanigans on this guy and then he pulls this weaselly stunt. It sucks to be right all the time. |

I never said you were dishonest. Just know that if if I did count the capsules and noob ships you still would not have won anything due to me having to do the same for everyone else. I already said that I was sure I excluded capsules, shuttles and noob ships in the rules, but I forgot. My decision in the winners is final. The only thing I can say is I will make sure that for the next time I will make sure the rules are easier to follow and cover all the exceptions.
This was my first event ever. Cut me some slack for running an event that cost me over 3 billion personally and cost you a T1 destroyer.

Surprising to whom? I told you this would devolve into a flashy vs non-flashy contest. I'm just surprised so many pirates are scrubs who showed up in short-range frigates/destroyers. Two squads of flashy sniper cormorants could have sent all the carebears packing. |

You strongly implied it with the 'meta-gamers killing alts at safespots' line. I didn't see any evidence of anyone trying to meta your event.

Thank you for giving me the chance to participate in this lovely event. I will accept the contract if it is up later today.
For people who say I comfortably sat back at 100km and lobbed torps (Yes, i did use my Hound) you are mistaken. I orbited the Moros at 7500meters to have my 280mm Howitzer apply the epic 14 extra DPS, I did end up dieing to a Caldari WT (Yes, Im in FW)
To all people complaining Marlona did not have to give up her Moros or give out any prizes. So shhhhhhhhhhhh and just be happy she raised your KB effeiceny. Boils down ti this, her event, her rules. |

All prizes have been contracted and ISK sent except for the prize of 111 Rifters to the player with the most losses. The reason I have not picked a winner yet is because a lot of people qualified for that one. lol
I have sent an evemail to the person who donated them to find out how they want to proceed with it.

If it's any 'consolation' the most expensive loss WAS a pod so you not only didn't lose your pod, you weren't the most expensive loss, either. And you got a prize, bonus! |
