Edited by: Dr Sublime on 26/12/2006 03:01:06 To all the people that say Dtacores are essentially free.... I'll take 10k each of Gal starship and Mechanical engineering please.
FYI a ton of skills went into training the req's to get Lvl 4 agents in the respective fields, and god knows how many times i got podded doing my low sec agent runs. Please keep that in mind.
Also another irking thing is when someone says 'I been running an agent for 3 years and still get no T2 BPO'...turns out they did the barest minimum and have one lvl 1 agent doing 12 rp a day... lol (sarcasm on) for all that effort they should get the next Hulk BPO thats seeded (sarcasm off).
Anyway back to topic, Invention needs some tweaking and Bravo! to OP for pointing out their results, we get more topics like this CCP will look at tweaking the invention so it's workable and profitable for those willing to go the whole ten yards.

Since it doesn't return a real value with the current waste formula(-.02 waste doesn't mean anything), what's the wastage factor on those -6/-4 BPCs?
PS Props to Noir to publishing this, even though it invalidates her earlier position ---- AUS Corp Lead Megalomanic |

The -4 me one is actually only 10% worse than a 0 me T2 bpo. The -6 me one is exactly the same, it doesn't use any more materials than the -4 one, i suppose that's a bit strange.

Im glad some one made the effort to prove how much it sucks.
I think it was fairly obvious that even with decnt retern ates it was garbage.
Which sucks. I though all my research agents were going to actually contribute finnally, even in a modest way.
Wherever you went - here you are.

Originally by: Nyphur Datacores also come from exploration hacking sites. I found approximately 10-20 datacores per day of exploring, along with various other things like T2 rig bpcs, salvage components, some funnish rogue drone complexes and hidden asteroid belts. There's no shortage of data cores, it's just either effort to get them or will cost you isk.
got a shield recharge t2 BPC?

That would fix nothing as the moon product price will skyrocket because supply and demand (its much more easy to produce tritanium than fluoride isn't it ?)
It's also more easy to put up POSes than convince CCP to seed more T2 bpos.

Plenty. The point is Noir was trying to give an opinion on invention once it had actually been tested. You can't have an opinion on something you haven't tried and call it fact. Props to you Noir for taking a scientific approach to this and for not being consumed by pride and sharing your results. AFAIK the other threads mostly were about building a data interface and finding the parts to do so. In that regard Noir proved those threads wrong by actually building an interface. The very fact you people are taking the bleep now is why more people don't go out on a limb and stay in line with the other sheep. The fear of being wrong can crush many an idea before fruition.

Respect (Kudos, whatever you want to call it) to Lady Noir for taking the time & effort to throughly test Invention & share the findings with the rest of the galaxy.
Yeah some of you were right with your assumptions but there is a saying in Britain, "Throw enough **** at a wall and some of it will stick". --- Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! |
