hey folks, do you hate it too to lose your scouts covops because that cloak deactivated (or you where to stupid to activate it in the first place)?
i think this often happens because its just to easy to miss that that small module icon stopped being outlned with a green ring.
i have a suggestion to improve this with i think would also add some cool visuals to the game:
what if there was some transparent distortion around the edges of the screen in a hex pattern that matches the cloak effect of the ship?
this would give much better visual feedback, and when done right, should not interfere with the visibility of the game world much.
(the edge of the screen proably has lots of windows and controlls attached to it anyhow, and the effect ring would not have to be very thick).

It is already incredibly easy to see whether the cloak is activated or not. I think you either need better glasses or need to turn your lighting a bit up. |

There are actually few "problems" that get cockamamied solutions like OP's that cannot be solved by simply taking half a second to pay attention to what you're doing.
