But is it an elite frigate? Or is it a level 4?
(Not saying that it is bad, just wondering if these frigates are the so-called "elite frigates" or will the elite frigates be something completely different)

They aren't the Elite frigates but they are totally unique due to the fact there are so few.
Good luck finding a buyer.

But could you show me specificly where a dev has said these frigates are elite frigates? As far as I see they are just level 4 frigates (much like we will have level 4 cruisers and battleships).

For one, he said they aren't elite frigates, which they aren't.
Elite frigates are tech 1 frigates "cross-breeded" with another, and a few side mixtures such as morphite..

The Silver and Gold Magnates are completely unique to the game!
The Magnate class may possibly be introduced (I do not see it listed in EVE-DB), but it is certainly not an elite frigate, possibly even a higher tech level than 2, or even 3. However, a Silver or gold magnate are one of a kinds (in the silver's case, three)
All this is a moot point though; Tank CEO doesn't even have one. Crazy bugger.

Thanks for pointing that out Ganja. Like I said, I thought they were only level 4 frigates (the gold being a level 5).
