Here's my setup so far...
*****HIGH*****
7 x Heavy Missile Launcher II's
*****MIDS*****
1 x Large Shield Booster II 1 x Sensor Booster II or 20km Scram (Solo PVP) 1 x Medium Electrochemical Cap Booster w/ 2 x 400 cap charges (12 more in cargo) 2 x Invulnerability Field II's 1 x Dread Guristas EM Hardner
*****LOWS*****
2 x Power Diagnostic System II's 1 x Ballistic Control System II 1 x Internal Force Field Array I
*****DRONES*****
1 x Heavy Web Drone
*****RESISTS*****
EM - 78% Kin - 75% Therm - 67% Exp - 83%
I have 11 CPU and 160 PG spare to play/use/upgrade the current modules.
What you guys think of that setup so far then? I prefer active tanks personally as i dont like the feeling of sitting there watching my shields go down and not being able to do something about it. I was thinking about upgrading the large shield booster II to a small gistii as it would provide more boost per cap but with the cap booster i dont think the large should be a problem.

Edited by: Ishina Fel on 25/12/2006 23:40:30 Pretty expensive ship to lose, but a decent fitting nevertheless. Though, are you sure you can't squeeze in a medium NOS in the 8th hi-slot somehow? It would need ~20 cpu and 175 grid (though skills may reduce it).

I tried but a medium diminishing uses 20 CPU and 175 PG so i'm just a tiny bit short. In theory once i have advanced weapon upgrades V (currently at III) i should have enough PG but its jsut the CPU then i'm 9 short on.
Unless anyone can think of any skills that will lower the cpu usage of any modules on my current setup?

You could use either 3% or 5% cpu need for launcher implant. That will give you enough tf to fit the nos if you can fit the nos gridwise

You can't solo and in a gang you'd be better of with ecm or damps.

I got a solo HAC kill today drake is a great 1v1 ship

the new improved setup :) kinda expensive tho lol. The ship + fittings costs about 300mil isk. + ú1 the box of kleenex i'm gonna need when i lose this thing and cry like a baby.

tbh seeing a drake without at least 1 or 2 LSE's on is sacriledge. Makes for a much better passive tank than any active tank imo.
I always slot a small energy neut or nos in that last high, you never know when a pesky ship comes close enough to make it useful.
Brave man fitting Heavy launcher II 's atm given their current cost.

IM IN UR CALDARI SHIPS, BEIN GALLENTE!
Highs: 7 Heavy Assault Launchers, 1 Small Nos
Meds: 1 1 MWD, 1 Webber, 1 Scrambler, 1 EM hardener, 1 thermal hardener, 1 medium shield booster
Lows: 1 BCU, 3 nanofibers
I rat in it. And then I solo'ed a Deimos. If I was really cool, and not busy being Gallente, I'd take the two weeks and get Heavy Assault II's, but those launchers are still 15mil a piece right now. Still, nothing like forced buttsex at 1300m/s+.

Working from memory here so if the lows (PDS) aren't perfectly correct, add or subtract one =).
7 Heavy Launchers (Best named you can offord to lose) 1 Medium Energy Nulifier
1 Large Shield Extender 1 EM Active Hardener 1 Thermal Active Hardener 1 Named 10mn MWD 1 20km scrambler 1 Sensor Booster
2-3 Power Diagnostics (Depending on Skills) 1-2 Balistic Controls (Depending on skills)
Then there's the damper drake
7 Heavy Launchers 1 Medium Energy Nulifier
1 10mn Microwarp Drive 1 20km Scrambler 3 Sensor Dampener 1 Sensor Booster
