I miss being able able to fit heavy missile bays on frigs and the ability to fit any missile in any missile launcher provided that 1 missile doesn't exceed the launcher's capacity.

I guess there's always a muppet giving a reply like this
My 2 cents:
- the feeling of a vast universe you had when flying around, encountering not too many people - roid belts to mine in in which you could actually mine in without running out of roids and having enough ore to build a shuttle - a healthy economy with actual profit margins on normal production lines. It existed, with a hub system maxing out on 150 locals. BRING BACK THE HIGHWAYS ! - Not having a profession for everybody. Face it, we don't need salvaging, hacking whatever. The basic idea behind Eve works but is severely outdated and is not optimal anymore with 32k online. - Server stability and a stable server. It also helps finding a stable server.
I'll be honest. Eve has long lost it's magic after all the rubble they put in, especially in Revelations. We don't need more weight, we need more functionality. The capital ships were the last functional content. I'm pretty sure many people play Eve out of habit or by lack of an alternative. I know I'm only staying in because of the company. -----------------------------------------------
Yup, it's great to be Amarr :-/

- My torps being able to hit any target for 100% damage everytime
- Fitting oversized abs
(Dual oversized MWDs was overpowered, but the single oversized ab couldve stayed imho)
- 0.0 being more profitable than empire mission farming

I miss the current player count. Back when 16k was considered "lots", and it would die down to 5-7k late at night and you could fly around low-sec without ****ing your pants at every gate :)

I miss the good old TRADING sessions... Doing Robotics runs in The Forge and The Citadel with some friends, earning several millions per run, in our less-than-10k-cargospace haulers with dual afterburners...
That was, of course, before the AB/MWD nerf, the cargospace increase and when millions were a LOT of money to everyone, even the old-timers...

I miss no level 4 missions and complexes (yay for no PvE!).
I miss dual MWDs. I was too young to ever make any use of them in PvP but they were fun none-the-less...
Mostly I just miss the sense of wonder. When not everybody had billions. You could still earn billions but it was really pointless, because the biggest thing you could buy was a battleship. Everyone was on more equal footing.
I also miss the old politics. Things seemed so much clearer then... Although it probably helped I was a newb then. Much clearer than today - CA are the pirates, Xetic are the carebears, FA are the moneybags, etc. No wishy-washy crap or hundreds of different little alliances. ___

i miss
the times where battleships were rare on the battlefield. the times where you could take over a station in a couple hours. the times where alot happened in eve event wise. the times where there were only 3-4 alliances in game. the times where 100 million isk was incredibly much. the times where the forums wernt spammed by everyone about everything.
to be honest, insurance sucks .. without insurance T2 wouldnt cost so much, battleships would NEVER have been so common, salvaging would be a complete different thing, npcing could have been something totally different ... i blame insurance. Kinda late to roll it back now though. ------------------------ Stop reading my siggy! |

I miss the lack of POS warfare and miss the frequency of small group combat (compared to now, which can be described as "blob blob blob").
There is a reason I left 0.0 and joined an Empire-warring corp. -Wrayeth "Look, pa! I just contributed absolutely nothing to this thread!"

Edited by: Nemain on 26/12/2006 12:38:10 I miss the auto training skills, i never trained mechanic at all, I got it up to lvl 5 from general ship refitting etc :)
I miss the frig mass and agility on the blackbird, multiple ab/mwd and oversized, jumping directly to the station when you jumped into a system you frequented and most of all multiple options for missile types in all launchers. I used to love my cruise caracal. I still have a kessie with heavy missiles in it's standard launchers somwhere. And before I forget, defenders that worked.
The old yulai hub highway travel system I used to like as well, I guess just anything that made life easier, I have little patience

What about the feared 8 MWD Scorp? I believe it could go at several AU - without entering warp.
CCP should have a retro-day on Sisi, roll back the server for one day so we can play with all the old toys. ___
