Dear ccp and fellow players,
IÆm a very proud and active eve player. True the years eve IÆve seen empires been build up and destroyed again. The evolution of eve online is been a ride. Although I feel there is something missing.
Most mmo`s have something special for there players in days that are imported to human kind. these days are like Christmas, birthdays Halloween or even Creation/release birthdays. Its sometimes that lil aspect IÆm missing. IÆve read a post about it not fitting into the eve concept. Personally I think differently. As IÆm also writing story about the eve history and sidestory`s IÆve seen lots of similarityÆs between our culture and eve. yet eve evolved over 1000nts of years so did mankind. and in human nature its written that certain events are been celebrated. This going from birthdays to liberation dayÆs.
How can Eve inplent this in a Way that Its blending in With the Eve environments. considering that we are not capable of leaving our pods. Think In station decoration. announcements that are according the current events. Unique Missions activated by a something simple as a Ship log. i can think of a thousand ways to give the game a more personal approach.
I do realise We get allot of friebies allready. the expansions/new content But I ask to take this in consideration.

I woulnd't mind seeing a day for when the Caldari celebrate their liberty from their former evil masters. I wouldn't mind the Amarr celebrating some sort of xmaslike event... I wouldn't mind the minmatar remembering their freedom from the Amarr and I wouldn't even mind seeing those stupid Gallente celebrate their own national holiday.
Good idea.

I do not like it.
Christmas MIGHT pass but most RL celebrations are very specefic to certain parts of the world and their culture I would not want EVE to favour any one in particular.
For example I would HATE to see Halloween or Valentine day celebrations as they have absolutely no value in my part of the world except being a gimmick for shops to sell more.
But having celebrations related to ingame lore would be great.

stay on topic tho. and i understands that some hollydays would not appeal to you. but for most ppl i is. now such events do not have to be based on our current once. but can be inline with eve history
