I also really like the Monthy Python cheese shop sketch.
I have seen today on you tube something remarkable and gun related. I had to stop many times just to see and admire that piece of superb craftsmanship.

OG (suddenly realizing a toy is being removed): *cries* I wanna play with the dump truck!!!
YG (realizing the same thing): *vacates 1st truck's dumper and goes to the garage door* Papa, I wanna play with other truck.
Me (to OG): Play with that one now your brother is out of it
OG (still crying): I don't wanna play with that one
Me (to YG): Do you want to play with that truck you just had?
YG: no, I wanna play with the other truck *points at garage door*
Me: So nobody wants to play with this truck?
Both: no
Me: Ok (I pick up the nolongerbeingplayedwith dump truck and put it out in the garage with the first one)
Both boys now crying.
Me: Stop fighting over your toys you might get to play with them.
*slurps coffee*

Generally, if you have an issue with your alternator, you'd get a check engine light. Weird ass noise is probably water pump. Or belt. Or bearing failure on a pulley.

Well yeah, initial estimate was either water pump or alternator bearing (just wasn't being super specific in first post)
Fan belt was already checked and have a chain rather than timing belt

Water pump failures also generally tend to give you a little coolant leak. Good luck that the repairs are cheapish!
