Ship: TES Vengence of God Class: Abaddon Battleship Location: Sarum Prime Commading: Vice-Admiral Archbishop
Static over the comm channels "Enemy sighted.... Hyperion..... request assistance..."
The signal faded out as Anatolius called for backup in Sarum Prime. Two systems over the golden flagship of Vice-Admiral Archbishop, an Abaddon Battleship named TES Vengence of God, moved toward warp.
"Engage main drives, set course for Sarum Prime, notify fleet command" the Admiral called out as the stars moved on the viewscreen to a blur and the massive Battleship entered warp. Moving into warp the ship faded to a golden blur and moments later appeared outside the jumpgate to Amarr. All around other ships stopped and held as the massive warship moved toward the gate. The sight of such a vessel was not an everday occurance.
Entering Amarr space the Admiral quickly ordered course for the Sarum gate. A beep on his armrest signalled an incoming call from Captain Monsignor, his cousin, who commanded a Pilgrim EW cruiser. "I'm enroute four jumps away" said the Captain as Archbishop said affirmative and switched off the comm.
Moments later jumping into Sarum Prime the Abaddon picked up on its scanners the presence of enemy vessels. He immediately warped to the location of Admiral Blake and Anatolius and upon arriving noticed the scanner light up red. The Hyperion of Meklon, a notorious terrorist criminal, filled the screen. Back and forth fire was exchanged between the ships.
"Lock target" commanded the Admiral as the ships massive turrents swung into action. Despite the sensor boosters the ships still took precious seconds to lock. When it did though the Hyperion was fixed in crosshairs on the 3d overview projected onto the viewscreen.
"Fire at will!" ordered Archbishop as the massive lasers of the Abaddon opened fire. Explosions were seen aboard the Hyperion then suddenly it was gone, warped away, to parts unknown. The turrets were quiet as the other ships in the area began scanning for the enemy. It wasnt long to wait though as another enemy appeared.
"Freedom!!!" he heard over the local communications as Evanda, another terrorist criminal, approached in a small fast frigate ship. It was so fast he wasnt even able to get a lock on it or determine its class. Almost immediately the ship was gone as the NOS field floated an eriee red over the area.
"Damn!" he said slamming his fist down on the console armrest. He wanted this terrorist more than anything. While Meklon was the leader Evanda had been a thorn in the side of the Amarr with her constant hit and run attacks and equally annoying transmissions over a pirated Galnet frequency of Amarr news.
"Entering system" came the call from Monsignor and the Pilgrim. Equipped with stasis webs and a warp scrambler the cloak capable EW crusier was just the answer to Evanda and Meklons tactics. As Monsingor warped to meet the fleet Evanda was returning for antoher run.
"Engage!" ordered Archbishop as he ordered NOS drones launched. While the large turrets couldnt lock well the drones were another matter. Evanda circled at high speed around the golden ships when suddenly another ship exited warp and quickly locked on.
"Enemy ship scrambled!" called Monsignor as suddenly Evanda trying to escape found herself stopped in her tracks. The holy fire of Amarrian lasers continued the onslaught as the web and scrambler did their jobs. Slowly the enemy ship succumbed to the combined firepower of the Amarrian defenders. Finally the ship exploded as the escape pod was launched.
Before anyone could lock target it was gone...... warped to a hiding place among the stars. Still as the fleet stood down and Meklon withdrew from the area there was only small measure of satisfaction. The terrorists were still out there and would be back.
And Amarr would be ready.
