They dont work correctly for me. I just used one. Before: 46d 18h = 1122h After: 45d 22h = 1102h 1102 / 11.22 = 98.2% Only a 1.8% decrease in training time??? I paused and started the skill queue several times, restarted the client and its still showing 45d 22h. EDIT: If my math is correct, i should get a 25% decrease in training time, not 1,8% EDIT 2: Just talked to a guy ingame, his training time went from 40d to 29d after consuming the booster. So the booster does work correctly for some ppl. EDIT 3: Consumed a booster on my alt: Before: 140d 8h = 3368h After: 136d 4h = 3268h 3268 / 33.68 = 97% Only a 3% decrease ... what is going on? I want ma money back. Played around a little bit with my skill queue ...
It seems the booster only affects the currently active skill, not the entire queue. The longer the currently active skill, the bigger the decrease in total training time.

The First item on the list should show a Lightning Bolt over it then and Hovering will tell you its "Accelerated Training". Now Move the item that's below the top item Up and watch the time drop by 8-10+ Hours just by moving it up to the top. Flip flop your 2 skills a few times and you can see how Drastic the change in training time is with these active. After Seeing this I was reassured that I did not waste my ISK and will Proly be buying more of them or Farming them. Dono if this info will help anyone but thought i would throw it out there since it helped me stop being pissed off because I thought i wasted my money. ArDo
BTW When it runs out the Time does not change, so for example if you had a skill training that would be done After the Booster Expires it will stay boosted tell it's done training Unless you Pause / Apply it will not update the time and keep training fast. Unless they have some sort of a check at the end that would fix it.
I Noted After it expired the time was still at around 43M left same as before it expired, the Lightning bolt was gone but the time did not change. So i Paused and Applied it and the time changed to something like 1 and a half Hours left, Up from 43M. Not sure if its a bug that can be taken advantage of or if they have some kind of check at the end that would end up putting it back on the training list after it finishes due to it having the wrong timer or not.
More Testing is Needed to know for sure...

Confirmed Blood Raider Cerebral Accelerator allows you to keep training your current skill that's being trained at the same Faster pace even after the booster has worn off if you do not alter the Skill that's being trained or Pause the skill training Queue. I'm guessing this is a Bug and will be fixed some time down the line. But as for now you can use one of them and put a Rather Long Train time skill in Top spot then let it go tell it's done and get all the benefits of the faster training time all the way to the end as long as you don't touch it till its done.
I Hope you find this as Interesting as i have.

Wrong..
You don't accumulate SP at the same rate as if you were using the booster
See how long it will take you to generate x amount of SP with and without the booster

While you won't accumulate SP as fast once the booster expires, the time until completion doesn't change. This means that once the booster expires you'll get a massive bump in SP as it now recalculates the SP based upon the old time frame differential.
For example: I had a 26 day skill that went to 18D once I popped the booster. Just before the booster expired, I had 16D left on the skill (I have Biology 5). However, once the booster expired, it still said 16D left but the SP earned recalculated as if I spent 10 days training (26-16) instead of just 2.
However, since the time and SP will recalculate under the old rates should you pause the skill queue, IMO the benefit of consuming multiple boosters in a row seem to be negligible. Just pop one, set a long skill level to train, and sell the rest.

Does this actually happen, or is this a UI bug? I would be very disappointed if I set a long skill to train only to find I'm not granted the skill at the end of it all. Has anyone out there actually let a skill run on when the booster has run out but the UI still shows boosted values and still completed the skill genuinely faster (at boosted speed)? I suppose we could do with some form of clarification from CCP on this, but then their silence gives me hope... |
