In a game of such complixity as EVE, you often find the nead to write things down to remember them. Be it market prices, names of sertain pilotes or places, services offered by sertain agents or what ever. I'm sure many of you just alt-tab ur run windowed to solw this, but wouldn't it be nice if you had an ingame note-pad and perhaps even a filesystem? It sure would be most welcome to me as my comupter gos crazy if I alt-tab or try windowed mode. |

Try pencil & paper.
It works quite well for most of us.

Pencil and paper is all well and good, but it would still be nice to have a notepad in-game.

It would takes some work, but since you can access info on the web from within eve, you could create your own eve-friendly note-taking web page and access it from the eve browser. All of your notes could be saved in a local database for you to look up anytime you need them.

I think the answer is to make Eve more friendly to window operation for you. I operate in a window, and have calculator, word processor, spreadsheet, web-browser, etc., all at my finger tips. These separate products are all superior to what CCP might add to the game (cf. the in-game browser).

I use my brothers main char, the little description bit .... I just write stuff there and when i need it again i just use show info. It works well enough for taking notes.

Thank you all for the tips and ideas They will help keep me afloat till CCP gets all bugs fixed and all ships and equipment perfectly balanced so they have time to implement my idea |

When I need a notepad to keep notes of stuff, I stick it in a channel named after myself... So you could always just make channel "Fritz" or whatever.
