8x Mega Pulse to surprise your enemy with em damage. he will laugh himself to death.
3x cap injector II to run them lazors 1x Faction MWD to run when you realize lasers suck and you will die. web and scram ofc
inertiastabs and warp stabs, you will need them.

Blasters if you are able to get in close range and stay there - railguns isn't bad but then you suddenly have to stay away from target and need a tackler or you gonna be withing 20km where the Blasters would be better anyway...
Go active tank unless you are absolutely sure you don't need webber and scrambler - you are going to need lot of cap for your guns anyway...
As with everything a setup is only good in the environment it was designed for, so try find out where you want your ship in the battle and fit for it to make it possible...
Btw - close range Nos/Neuts are good against solo targets, but it's rather boring and limits your damage output a lot...
you also have the option to use launchers - that will save you plenty cap, give you range over blasters, almost always hit but you will not benefit a lot from damage mods if you split your weapons...

Edited by: DubanFP on 01/01/2007 17:21:44 Don't listen to most of that "advice" i don't know what's wrong with them but some are ill-informed, and one is almost definately a flame or just trying to get you screwed X-/. Also it's good to note that although the Rokh looks to be about twice the price of a Raven it isn't. Insurance multiplies the difference in price. At market prices after insurance the Rokh costs 5-6 times as much as a raven. Good to know this before you look into a Rokh.
Basically Active tank it. Passive tanks are only good on Battlecruisers and below because you can fit oversized shield extenders on them. Of course there are no oversized modules for battleships so it's unreasonable to use them.
After that it depends on what it's used for which you never mentioned "BIG PROBLEM". For Fleet and group PVP Railguns fit for range and sniping. For Solo PVP Blasters fit for shear DPS would be the best choice. For fighting NPCs stick with a raven, missiles are better against NPCs.
Also never ever, EVER!!! Mix shield extenders with a shield booster. The second you do that your ship is doomed to failure. Finally don't even THINK of using the same setup for PVE as for PVP. It's just stupid.
P.S. Be more specific. MUCH more specific. __________________________ Why babelfish is bad mmm k "which the night do not expect that it calls the primary education before becoming deformed inside" |

Actually I need some help here, and you sound like you know what you're on about so I would like your help if you could.
Ratting Setup: High: 4 x 425mm Rails,4 x Siege Launchers
Medium: X-LRG Shield Booster 2, Invulnerability shield II, 2 x Rat damage specific hardeners, Large Shield Extender II, Cap Recharger II
Lows: 3 x Power Diag IIs, 1 x Magnetic Field Stab II, 1 x BCU II
The shield tank is great, the one problem is that I want more DPS. My mate in a Raven is doing more sheer damage than I am by a long shot, although admittedly his tank is alot weaker than mine.
Any advice would be appreciated. |

your damage output sucks because you are spltting your weapon systmes horribly. use 8 350 tech II's, you won't need so many fitting mods, and use magstab II's use short range high damage ammo. have your raven buddy downgrade to cruises and take out small stuff. make him fit a target painter also, you have a better tank and should be tanking the agro anyway, so let him sacrifice a bit to wipe out the small stuff.
