Ah, i was assuming you were talking about the whole warhammer world, not just the new MMO.
Yea, the warhammer mmo will suck, they butchered what warhammer is about :( (Which is mass battles of two forces attempting to out whit and out fight each other) ---------------------------

I only have the tinyest hint of a game idea here but I would like to play a game where you are a worker in a massive mine, perhaps mining a large rock in space. You can be a guard/miner/other stuff. Miners would need to actually do the mining, which generates revenue for the mining company, Guards need to protect the miners against nasties such as a horrible alien monster in a cavern that some miner just broke through into. Once the company has decided that rock has given all it's got or it's no longer safe to mine they all ship out to another location. Yeah.. I know.. it sucks...

Omfg I just had the best idea ever.
Name of Mmo: "Deity" You fight for your religion. The game would be set on an earth like planet not sure exactly what time frame. I'm thinking the easiest route and most appealing to the masses would be a time setting like dark age of camelot. Have multiple 'deities' to chose from, this would pretty much be the race selection. Each deity in the game would relate to a real deity or race that really exist on earth but overly exadgerated. Have certain deities be a peaceful race, some be fiercely combative. Ie: Buddhist based race would look tibetanish and be very peaceful with most other deities while the Islamic based race would look slightly arab and have alot of competitors. etc..
Just think how much free advertisement it'd receive!

Edited by: El Berto on 02/01/2007 15:28:48 I'd love to see a mmo based on one of Peter F. Hamiltons universes.
Playing as an augmented agent in the confederation or nights dawn universe would be pretty sweet.
Or a mmo based in the world of Bas-Lag would be interesting. A mix of Steam Punk, Science Fiction and Fantasy, but no ******* elves.
A system shock mmo might rock too, depending on the way it was created. ------- Its great being Caldari. |

Copying WoW ftl...
Being 14 without a clue FTL. Warhammer is 20+ years old, WoW just ripped the concept some few years ago and went with it like a twobit coverband at the mall, dignity be damned. 'We'll just change the color of our elves and enlarge the ears and it's all new!' Then again you probably knew that and was just on troll patrol.
Being a dumbass douchebag Ftl, I'm not 14, I'm 22. So guess what not all 20+ years old know WTF warhammer is nor give a flying fk. But guess what, even if Warhammer's concept and fantasy world existed before WoWs. WoW was a mmo first, so looking at the screenshots and see'ing that it looks like a carbon copy of WoW makes me say "Copying WoW Ftl..."
So grats on being a douche there buddy
So because games workshop is changing their idea into an mmo means they are copying it? Also for a 22 year old you speak like a child. --------

X-Factor, not the Marvel Super Heroes, but the TV show! Train Skills such as Appeal to Pensioners, *** Vote, Air Acoustic Guitar, Rig phone votes....
Game comes with microphone, webcam and dance mat. Play as a judge or contestant!
Audience PvP arenas.... the possibilities are endless.
On a more serious note, Terry Pratchett's Discworld would make an interesting setting for a MMO world, I'm just not sure what the point of the game would be!

Originally by: fateXimpossible I've had some ideas lately, call me a fool if you will, but:
Hitman Online: No, you're not 47, but you're still an ortmeir clone (this could bring up a huge new story line that is quite open ended)
You gain experience for going on missions, the better the rating (IE - Silent Assassian nets you the most whereas mass murderer nets you the least) the better exp reward you'll recieve, upon leveling up you can adjust your attributes and add skill points to Skills and their Sublevels - Firearms as a general skill and then Handguns, SMGs, Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Shotguns, Heavy Weapons, etc. as an example.
As you progress further and become more and more notorious you can access better contacts in whichever faction you're in (say the 'Agency' or the 'Franchise' for a weak example) and eventually take on more daring missions, and eventually form your own ring of assassians (ie Corps in eve or Clans or whatever you want to call it.)
A loose idea, but I think it has potential...Hitman's engine already has huge potential for PVP online in a first-person mode, so keep that with the game and people can have loads of fun! :-)
THATS SO SO SO COOL

What games workshop is copying is the implementation. Warhammmer online will play just like WoW from everything I've heard - they've got the same sort of raids and leveling for example. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

The thing that makes me laugh most about the wow / warhammer thing is that I know that if I showed a screenshot of warhammer online to someone who plays wow, and doesnt know about warhammer online, I could say its a leaked screen shot of a content patch not released yet and they'd believe me. It looks like its the same damn thing, same engine powering the same gfx with users leveling up in the same grinding raiding instancing style getting the same loot to look the same as everyone else with the same leet epic armor.

Monty Python Online
Create your hero! Quest for the Grail! Become the next Savior!
Featuring such fantastic quests and lands and people you could meet!
The Knights who say Ni! They cannot be defeated in battle, but if you find the right word to say, "IT" might be the end of them!
Camelot! If you can stand the incessant singing, its a grand ole place! Even the prison inmates seem happy!
Visit the Bridge of Death, to get across, you simply have to answer three questions, What is your name? What is your Quest? And another completely random question!
Mounts? I'm glad you asked! There are no horses in MPO, but you can hire a squire to "gallop" behind you clicking coconut halfs together! Somehow that makes the journey seem less tedious (even if its still the same speed as skipping!)
Journey to Rome and meet Biggus [CENSORED]! But, try not to drop your shoe while you're on the road!
Several crafting classes are available, such as the Illustrious Shrubber! Create wonderful shrubberies! They're in demand like you can't imagine!
Test your knowledge with Sir Gwuinivere, will you weigh more than a duck? And what shape is the Earth? Banana?
Test your mettle against the Black Knight! But beware, his severed limbs will crawl, hop and roll after you endlessly until you truly defeat him (if ever!).
Attend beautiful weddings, in the swamp! Beware of overzealous knights who may try to rescue effeminine princes who have a predilection to singing!
Meet the French... need I say more?
And many many more quests!

You forgot the epic siege raid on the french castle. (Note the high walls and lack of seige weapons.) A giant rabbit can however be used to get inside the fortress. (Even tough theres not enough room for even one person inside it.) Edit: Did i mention the undead parrots? And annoying bards who will follow you.

As for my contribution, I'll go with an alternative to Mechwarrior. Heavy Gear is, to me, a much more fun style of Big Robot game.
Of course, I'd love a Jovian Chronicles game, but I wouldn't want it to be an MMO I think. You know what? I just want a good mech sim for the PC. It seems that my two great loves(mech and space sims) are forbidden ones. ___________________________________
