I'm of the opinion that anything you want to do in Eve you should do with your main and never use alts. I'd be up for one character slot per account and restrictions on having multiple accounts.

I'm of the opinion that for every extra account you get a half price discount, and that the client should be optimized further for running multiple instances of the client.
But well that's the thing with opinions, everyone has one and....

People play with others, multiple accounts or not.
Having several accounts simply is a HANDY asset.
A industrial/Hauler, a combative character, reseacher on sepearte accounts is all good.

I play 3 accounts, and most of the time when I am playing, I am just logged in on 1 account and out doing things with corp/alliance mates. The fact that I can afford to have 2 alternate accounts does not mean I take the GAME too seriously, I have the other 2 accounts so that I can do more things in the game without having to compromise the specialization of one character. In addition to this, with the 3 accounts, I am able to log in and get right to what it is I do with the 3 accounts (in this case I run a mining op), and dont have to wait for other people to log in/travel to me in order to start mining, I just log in the 3 accounts and get busy.

No, this isn't just a game, the ppl that think such should go play GW or WoW. Because 90% of the ppl that think this, are just here in EvE to **** ppl off, and not take the game seriously.
I pay to play this game.....so don't tell me that I have to play with someone else because its Massive Mulitplayer....if this was the case, then why all the fifty hundred 1 vs 1 whine threads?

The more I play online games and deal with the "comunity" the more I think single player game is the way to go :/.
The second you say something silly like... THIS IS NOT JUST A GAME !!!! .. should be your warning sign to quit.

Actually, EVE IS more than just a "game" It's a passion, past time, place to actually meet ppl, etc...
I think fanfest and corp get-togethers prove it's more than just a game...

Eh, EVE's a game, albeit an addictive one. I guess I'm also fairly unique, in that I have 1 account. I have alts ON that account (1 for splattering haulers, 1 for selling whatever's in my favorite pinata of the day in Jita), but only 1 account. Then again, I stay away from industry (I have minor building/refining skills simply to keep torpedo counts up), rat when needed, and mostly just pirate. =P
