Hello everybody!
In the last weekrs, I often find myself patrolling the neighborhood solo, mostly taking out smaller ships (Here in 0.0 space, nobody seems to fly bigger stuff, except for fleet battles).
Now I wonder, which ship would serve this purpose the best:
1. Assault Frigate. In this case fully T2 fitted Enyo.
2. Thorax with Medium Blasters
3. Thorax with 150mm Rails
4. Destroyer
Any ideas?

I'd say go with the Thorax and 150mms. Intys will dictate renge, even with your MWD on (Hope you have one). With small Rails, tracking is fine and the range is so much better than the Blasters.

I see, where you come from. NOS sure is Uber. But in my case, I prefer something more agile than a BS. Recons are not available to me yet.

Destroyer (specifically thrasher) or stabber will kill basically any frigate sized ship, although destroyer has a harder time v AFs

The rapier/huggin is nasty with the web bonus but any half decent inty pilot won't engage without backup.
Indies actually make decent inty/frig hunters if you are talking solo inty/frigs. While it's very tricky and there's plenty of risk you'll find no shortage of small ships taking you on.
The badger or bestower are probably the best for the job. Dual webs, a scram/disruptor and some tanking (EW if you have the spare slots) and you're set. While you can only fit one gun you can probably wear out an inty eventually.
For EW it really depends on the situation. Damps are good for forcing the inty into webbing range but not much else after that.
Tracking disruptors won't crows (one of the more common inties).
ECM is a pure gamble.
It's been done before and worked, risky but oh so fun and it nearly guarantees any frig/inty will engage you.
I have the body of a supermodel. I just can't remember where I left it.

I personally think a cerb with assault launchers would be best. I mean it has a great tank and you can load a stock of fof missiles...pretty much death to anything smaller then cruiser size and even some of the cruisers to just because of the tank. The problem I see with most of these other ideas is if you run into five frigates with dampners on your pretty much screwed unless your in a cerb. I really think the cerb would own five interceptors no problem...then again no personal occurences myself with THAT many frigs at the same time.

Are all good choices aswell. They can pack on loads of nosf, have decent tackle, and tank like beasts since all/most of there damage comes from the drones. Light drones will be pretty mean to most inties and if you can web an inty its basicly instantly dead or close to it. A nosf or 8 on an inty basicly = instapop. The only intys you might have problems with would me crows and even then you should be able to tank them without much trouble while they burn cap like mad keeping out of range.
In a vexor or myr you could probably handle afew frigs/inties at once. Just make sure to keep some extra drones in your cargo since some people will probably pop afew.
Gun boats are really capable at finding one thing and shooting it alot then moving onto the next, though for solo patrols/f'n arounds I would say go with drones.

Drake with precision missles. its tank will soak up anything a frigate can dish and precision missles bring the pain.
on the cheap Caracal with assault launchers.

Any Cruiser with webs/drones will do the job.
Vexor is good and expendable.
If you snipe, get eagle.

Prophecy works well, can tank 5-6 inties/af's with no problem at all, and can kill them pretty easily too once you get their transversal down. Light drones help out a lot too.

Wow, nobody mentioned the Rapier.
Rapier is the ultimate Frigate/Interceptor Killer.
You can sneak up to them and with the range bonus to webifiers, they'll never get away. Add 1 Sensor Damp and they can't even lock you if you stay 20km out.

This is my main.
As far as *****ing goes, the OP was looking for ships that can take on small ships solo. Any nos-heavy battleship (Or Curse) can give the best frigate pilot a run for his money.

Nothing like teh web to kill a friggie, Curse is also awesome.
Of the ships you listed above go for a Rax with small rails.

Frigs die to heavy nos, webs, drones, and a combination of any of those. I'd say any of the ships you listed would work except maybe the thorax with medium blasters.
If you really want to have fun when confronted by a frig gang...set up a smartbomb bs.

yeah that the pilot in a frigate or interceptor would have to be asleep for you to get a lock on or a complete noob.
