Here are my details:
Standing with Boundless is 7.5
Science, Engineering and Mechanic lvl 5
Electronics lvl 5
The Lvl 1 Agent -7 quality (effective quality 9) requires High Energy Physics 1 and Rocket Science 1. I've read that High Energy Physics isn't in game.
The lvl 2 Agent 18 quality (effective quality 34) requires Minmatar Starship Engineering 2, Molecular Engineering 2, Mechanical Engineering 2 and Astronautic Engineering 2. I've read that Astronautic Engineering isn't in game, either.
I've trained all skills required by agents to the level necessary to research and still can't get missions. I'm able to do research, however.
Does anyone have any clue to help me with this frustration?

I'm not sure if I understand your problem correctly:
a) Don't you get access to the Boundless R&D agents and don't they accept you to start a research project for them?
or
b) Although you already do research for a Boundless R&D agent he doesn't offer you the daily missions?
If (a) is the case check your Minmatar faction standing. For R&D agents a high corp standing isn't enough, you also need a minimum faction standing. (The agent info tab tells you what faction standing you need.)
If (b) is the case: Do you have your R&D agent since very few days? You have to wait some days for the first mission offer before the normal daily mission offer cycle starts.

Is this your first R&D agent?
If so, R&D agents don't give out missions like other agents. You do research and they will call on you from time to time to do a mission for them. When you first start using them they don't give out missions all the time, you just have to wait for the e-mail. As long as your research points are accruing, I wouldn't worry about it much. Just check your journal every once in a while and make sure the point total keeps going up.

You don't need all those skills to do missions for them.
From you post it seems you haven't grasped what R&D agents do.
First, you work for the corp and/or faction, not that particular agent, to gain enough standing to be able to use that agent.
Once you have that standing and have trained at least one of the skills relative to the fields he has available for research then you can start a research project. You don't need the skills to be at the relative level, for example high energy physics lvl1 is enough(or at least was in the past) to start a project even on an agent with lvl4 skill at that field. Having his/yours skill higher, means you gain more research points per day.
After you've started that research project, you slowly accumulate research points.
A couple of days (maybe more, maybe less) after starting that project, your agent will evemail you asking for help. Don't be confused with his message, his research doesn't stop.
After receiving that mail, you visit him and then he offers you a mission. If you do it, you'll get a new evemail after about a day with a new "problem" he had. If you decline the mission, you'll get an evemail a day later as well. If you don't decline/accept or even not visit the agent, you'll never hear from him, unless you're lucky and you've won a BPO
Completing each mission gives you a flat bonus to your research points equal to the current RP/day you accumulate.
Other than that mission (varies in what he asks), R&D agents don't offer any other.
Hope this helps

Have you visited your agent and try to talk to him? Maybe you missed his mail.
If not, file a petition. You should be getting that mail.

I had the same problem with my research agent. It would simply not give me a mission.
I submitted a petition and they fixed it quick. Now I'm feeding my research agent tritanium like the rest of you.

Thanks for all the help it was driving me crazy! I was assuming that missions were like the Admin and Internal Security missions. Now I'll just patiently wait for my R&D agent to send an evemail and I'll do those as they come.
Thanks again

Just talk to the agent after more than 24h. He should have a little mission for you, even if you did not get an invitation.
If he does not offer a mission, send in a bug report from the link to the left. --*=*=*--
The cause for this is not yet known, but we do have a possible fix in testing. by Sharkbait | 2006.09.20 |

If (b) is the case: Do you have your R&D agent since very few days? You have to wait some days for the first mission offer before the normal daily mission offer cycle starts.
to add to (b), to start the cycle of offers you must re-visit the agent and ask for a mission, more than 24 hours after starting the research with him. For me it has always been necessary to give a visit to start the requests.
(c)R&D agents give missions ONLY if you have a R&D project with them. So if the agents isn't one of your research agents in use, he will neveer give missions to you.
A suggestion, stash some ten of thousand unit of tritanium in the station, more than half of the missions now (some onth ago it was different) are "rats ate my tritanium" , or other tritanium request, so you can do the mission in no time if you have a good load of tritanium.
(Yes, in reality is all the research missions going on that have caused the recent increase in the tritanium price .)
Another point: the research missions count for the 16 missions for the storylines, and that 2 -8 agent for Boundless Creation has a stroryline agent for Boundless in the same station, so if you can time the R&D mission so as to be the 16, you should get a Storyline for Boundless and a nice standing increase.
