In short, EVE doesn't have unique ship designs nearly at all, most of them are either heavily influenced by some other ship in another game/tv serie/movie or are a hybrid of such. There are some unique designs in EVE but I can't think of any at the moment...

And really, after about 40 years of science fiction movies and later video games, you can't really claim that any of those are ripoffs. It's very difficult to come up with a original design in this day and age (Except possibly the Moa. ).
