I wouldn't expect anyone, even Ollobrains, to reflect on the Privateers, because that's not the way they work. Individual corps within the Privateers might be a different story. I can see why they might not like having a chump with their tag. The alliance as a whole though -- it's just a shell for more empire pvp-gankage, isn't it?

However what I think we have in common with them is that we are a bit nasty/dirty/venal/plain wrong.

Everyone you run into in empire thinking you're an easy kill, and so actually fighting you on vaguely fair terms, or everyone so terrified they dock, log, run or blob. shrug. Always figured privateers was an interesting and new idea. Even if they do shoot at me, I get to shoot back, and that's all good. I've had a lot of 'good fights' against privateers. Some I've won, some I've lost, but it was so nice to fight someone who wasn't playing the traditional empire 'bait and gank' 'station hug' 'logoff' or 'stabs up the wazzoo' games that seem to go on all too often.

If you take it as it was intended "that the privateers are ON THE WAY to becoming A MENANCE that may go down in Eve History" then pretty much everone must agree. I dont know how many alliances have ever had 40 empire wars running simultaniously? Perhaps the vets could tell me In this alone we have already gone down in history. Maybe as a sidenote but pfft. IF we continue our curve and get a thousand pilots. Whos to say?
