Absolutely not. At least not until they change the way logouts work at POSes. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

"But no matter what, logging does not make you disappear for 15 minutes."
Bad idea. on top of logoff/logon tactics we already get, this is encouraging people to "battle" just through piling up ships in hope people or even the node itself crashes, and the other side can be then probed down and picked one by one while unable even to log back... let alone put any sort of coordinated fight back.

"Well, currently, as soon as I even jump into a system in 0.0, everyone logs. Every. single. Xelas. Raven. Even if it's 3 or 4 versus me (in a dictor). It's absolutely stunning and pathetic. And it's bordering exploitive."
Right because you don;t have the rest of your gang in the next system waiting for the word to charge in....
2 minutes is plenty. 15 minutes is RETARDED. 2 minutes would be 60 seconds longer than the longest log out timer i know of in any game. Stop looking for people in pve ships to pvp with and they will stop running from you. Look for other people in pvp ships and they prolly will be more willing to fight. Lord knows there are a zillion gate camps waiting to be busted....

Originally by: Elmicker what about those people without access to a station? not all of us are 0.9 mission runners with 17 stations in every system, it's possible to kill people logging at a pos with no timer, never mind the 15 minute one.
agreed. there are legitimate reasons to log out at a POS - for example, in deep 0.0 a long way from a system with a station - perhaps like the new drone regions, which have no stations to dock at if i'm not mistaken? ========================================== Iy |

No station? Log off at an SS or POS In warp bubble? Ship doesn't move In combat? Ship takes a certain amount of time before doing the log-warp
Change from 15mins to 2 though, as 15mins seems like a small time but is actually a game long enough time to do whatever anyone else wants to do

make that only when you hit a bubble or got shot at by a player please.
I already lost 3 megas in combat missions (out of the 5 possible time it happened) due to power outages in my area this week. (every other day...$##G# storm...)
(60% death...thats high from disconnecting.)
no more sledge hammer fixes please.

What I would like to see is a repeated log-off timer. Something that increases the time it takes to disappear if you log in and out frequently in a short amount of time.
