Battle Cruisers are pretty tasty ships at both tanking and stacking some considerable firepower.
But yeah 'one month old' and flying a BS, he got what was coming to him. Especially in Low-Sec/0.0 - and if its not an alt how about the frickin cost of a megathon. My primary characters been in game a year (nearly) and can't afford one (or at least justify the expense).

Shouldnt you rename the topic "BS killed by bc, frigate, and cruiser".
Last time I checked using an alt still counted even if it is technically the same person playing both ships.

Ive killed a NPCing raven in just a stabber.
And ive had a corp mate kill a PVP fitted megathron also in a stabber.
Usualy its all about skill and timing.And how utterly sucky the other person is.

Me in an AC Rupture and a buddy in a Caracal, took town a pretty old (donŠt recall how old, but more than 1.5 year) Megathron in 0.4. I scanned it alone in a system, and with it being in a belt, I assumed it was mining, so I warped on top of him. Out of warp, I see the gleam of the sensor boosters and hear the sound of salvagers. So, itŠs a long range fitting most probably. Scrammed, orbited as close as I could, webbed each other to hell, and began firing. His rails actually hit me most of the time since due to webbing we had a transversal of like 10m/s, and his heavy drones, even though EM, were putting some hurt on me, but my drones eventually took them out. My buddy warped in when the Mega shields were down, and started pounding. The armor of that thing wasnŠt moving much for some time, and my armor was steadily dropping. At 20% armor though, I managed to shut him down and the Caracal changed damage types, so he was floating helpless, his armor dropping fast. We ransomed him at 5% hull, but an already fired volley of heavies from the Caracal accidentally blew it up. It was fitted with t2 mods, Dark Blood hardeners, some rails and two 1400mm arties!  All in all we got loot that costs more than the ransom (never paid since it was destroyed, and if it was it would have been returned).
It was fun, and the Megathron pilot turned out pretty cool!

Couple of corpmates almost killed a raven the other day, with a:
Tackling Scythe! (Civilian AC's, small nos  )
Hound!
Scythe eventually died, and the raven warped off with 10% armour
