Akisall	Posted - 2007.01.06 10:45:00 - [1] Me and my corpmate managed to kill a megathron last night in 0.4 space. Which usually isnt a big deal it happens all the time. But we were in a mere cruiser and bc. I was flying an arbitrator and he was using a railgun ferox. First my friend sent in a tackler kessie in his alt to scram and web. Then he and I warped in and opened fire. We thought we were toast and had already planned on dieing. But the megas shields steadily dropping told us otherwise. I sent my meds on him and my buddy sent out his lights. A bs should easily tank 10 drones, cruiser and bc fire. We brought him down without him inflicting more than 25% on my corpmates shields. When we checked his can we found out why, He was using heavy missiles and 250mm railguns! His character was less than a month old and he was flying a mega. Granted this was a lesson to him but I felt guilty. His ship was insured so we told him basicly to get more skills before he flies bs, especially in low sec, and we gave him 20mil to help for insurance and his loot back. (First time in history I know) Moral is! Dont fly a bs unless you can use the proper equipment! Anyways I thought it was kinda interesting so I posted it. Hopefully new players read this and think twice before they slap those heavy missiles and med turrets on battleships.

If the guy is less than a month old, and flying a mega, he doesnt deserve to be given 20mil back, heck you should of transferred it to me. I cant really say much though, as this char aint even a month old an in a BC, but its for 0.0 ratting purpose only, to build money/skills so in-time i can eventually get my Command Ship i been setting my eyes on.. Maybe he was a miner who spent all his money on a Mega, or maybe hes an alt, still you dont pay people money if they are in a BS, a frgi ye maybe spare 1mil compo if your feeling charitable... In my experince i have 2 cases worth mentioning about this: 1) once took down geddon who was fitted with medium lasers in my thorax. was nice solo kill, which got my blood pumping again. 2) soon after kali came in 0.0 took down rokh together with corpmate. i was in ranis, corpmate in ishkur. too bad rokh pilot pressed self destruct and ship exploded before we managed to get killmail. was so close, he was already in structure. was happy that at least pod didnt get away :) ____________________

Because of this you can get some awesome fights. i attacked 2 domis, a brutix, myrmidon and rifter in my myrmidon the other day and killed all of them but the last domi who got me eventually. all crummy fittings and young players which you can get some really fun fights from when they're in numbers. DE

So watch out, not every 6-7 month old player is a noob with mining barge level 5.
