Verone Veto.	Posted - 2007.01.06 23:01:00 - [1] There comes a time when everyone has to do the dreaded, the terrible task of cleaning out their cache folders. Thousands of chatlogs, even more gamelogs, portraits and strange files that only the devs have ebil icelandic insights into. One folder is commonly overlooked. The Screenshots folder. I have 4 Eve Clients stored on one of my hard disks at present, and while cleaning out the cache on them to solve a connection problem I noticed something about Eve. It's graphics engine might be almost a decade old, but god damn, it's still good looking. So, I decided to put our corp gallery on our site to good use... (thanks griefwatch ) Two of the screenshots on there, the Enyo shadowed by a planet and it's moon, and the two planet eclipse causing a cresent effect, were not taken by myself. These were taken from a folder on my hard disk and added to the stack of uploaded files, the rest are shots from my HUD over the time I've spent in Eve charting gameplay dating back to 2003 and touching most of the regions in Eve. I've been enjoying doing a bit of photography in game with some of the new ships too, they are also in there. I never really noticed how well the engine works until now. Most take it for granted, and I was surprised at how good Eve can look, even with what is effectively a dinosaur for a graphics engine. Take a look at the gallery, hopefully people will like it, and if there is a positive response I'll continue to make it grow. I've branded the images with our corp logo for the site, but if anyone would like a copy of any of them simply eve-mail me a link to the image in game, and I'll host it and send you back a link without the logo, if I still have the original. Roll on Trinity. Whoever designed the current engine needs a payrise, to be honest. VETO FOR HIRE

Verone Veto. Veto Corp	Posted - 2007.04.14 14:50:00 - [10] For the all the Gallente Assault Frigate fans (in particular the Enyo), I've added a few shots from a frigate op we ran last night. I've added a couple of Vindicator/Deimos shots too, a couple of Astarte/Eos shots, and a couple for all the Matari Assault frigate pilots out there. There's also a shot of the Eve-Gate added (i have some of these @ 2560x1024 if people need them, just Eve-Mail me), and a couple of the Black Monolith over in Genesis. Over the next couple of months, I'm going to be doing a tour of New Eden in my spare time, so hopefully we'll have an assload of shots of all the monuments in Eve, including The Serpents Coil, The Myridian Strip and the ASCN Memorial Wreck. I kind of want to chart these before the Trinity engine upgrade so as there's a good baseline for comparison on improvements to the engine. As well as that I thought I'd share a copy of my new desktop background.. It was taken in New Eden so some with a view to the RP backstory of Eve might like it, others might not. (sorry for the slight jpeg compression the original image is 3200x1200) It marks the start of the search for all the monuments in Eve, which hopefully I'll be able to photograph before the Trinity Engine upgrade. If anyone would like a copy of the shot of the Eve Gate, Just Evemail me and let me know what you want. I have shots with the gate itself in various locations on the screen, and in resolutions ranging from 1024x768 to 5200x1900. Verone	Posted - 2007.09.15 03:23:00 - [16] We held a memorial op for a lost corpmate tonight, including a lot of faction ships. Basically, everyone flew their favourite, or most well skilled ship.
