deathforge The Accursed	Posted - 2007.01.06 23:14:00 - [1] The first chapter of my continued effort to purge the 60gb of accumulated fraps footage on my hard drive, this vid has 3 tracks, and all takes place in my rifter at varying skillpoint levels. The vast majority of the film is under 130k skillpoints, though there are a couple clips mixed in with a nos setup I started using when I was able to justify taking training time away from my main, max skillpoint level in the film is 210,000, most clips are much older than that. Action is mostly solo, a couple gangmates do make an appearance, but are no better qualified pilots than I (at least in terms of training time), and the one that is dies Linkage 11:25 duration 158MB Made in windows movie maker, so the quality and fanciness are kind of lacking, but it was either make a half assed attempt at a movie or just delete it, so I made a movie and then deleted it. soundtrack: nickelback - animals offspring - original prankster (i have no idea) - beyond redemption oh, and to conform with forum rules, there is some mixed profanity in the music, and littering chat channels I have open (especially local chat in the last one, if you can make it out, it was classic )

But that's to be expected in low SP frig piracy, atleast that's what I encountered as well when I was just starting out. :) Keep it up - oh and, encode it in VirtualDub or something next time. ^^ -- Piewat! If he had hit me more than once it would have been over incredibly fast. 5 heavy neutrons and 4 mag fields A lot of the footage is pre-patch, as you may have noticed, so a lot of younger (read: sub 6 month age) didnt have terrifying skills like drones 5. I feel I have to put emphasis on my skillpoints and the abundant stupiditiy one finds in low sec, because the general consensus in Eve is skillpoints win fights. And that couldnt be further from the truth, pilot know-how and frequently the lack there of is what it comes down to every time, starting at the fitting screen. As I weed through more of my footage I'll put together at least one more vid, focusing on the newer nos-fit rifter (pwns) and my rupture. Rich is subjective, really. I'm no billionaire, I run level 4's or npc on an "as needed" basis when i need to replace a battleship or something, and doing it is a real chore. Other than that, main PVP's full time as well, this character is where I come when there aren't targets in 0.0 or I can't be bothered to go roam around. I just hang in low sec and let the targets come to me Belt piracy is a lot of fun anyway, you get some of the best fights and solo action you could ever hope for. It's more playing to have fun than playing to win, as is the case with alliance level combat. Low skillpoint rifter video: Linkage

Of course after warping out, paid, I was informed those cost 13 million each There have been a couple pods I've offered ransoms to, but am usually told to injest excrement and die. So now I just go for pretty blue explosions, loot, and neat squishy sounds. I would probably consider any reasonable ransom request sent to me during an attack, and honor it IF I accepted it, but I wouldn't hold your breath. Sadly the ever handy internet dictionary disagrees with you. http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pirate Nowhere does it say anything about ransoms. Killing you, taking your loots, and raping your women (in this case, corpse) is what pirates do. Some people prefer to make their isk pirating by making people pay them. I prefer to make my isk having fun making something explode, and then selling loot if it's worth scooping. If it somehow makes you feel morally superior in your delusional little world of self-righteous antipiracy to disregard me as a pirate, trust me, I'm not losing any sleep over it. Actually that's incorrect, both thorax kills were in fact webbing blaster raxes, and had scrams fit. Caracal wasn't explicitly pvp, but did have a painter and assualt launchers (attacked him once and fled with structure fire, came back with second rifter), and the merlin in the 1v2 frig engagement did have a scram fit as well. Whether or not their pvp fits are good, and if they know how to use them effectively, is another matter all together. Draw your own conlcusions, call me what you like, I'm definately not losing any sleep over it. When you have under 200k skillpoints, picking your targets and engaging on your terms is the name of the game. Go back to your npc's, mission jockey. Works as well as it ever did, just goes through a bit more ammo. New characters can actually be surprisingly tough to ***** with the skillpoint boost; as with all sub-800k sp characters I got a boost as well, mostly to my fitting skills (mostly wasted), though I did get small projectile 4 and rapid firing 4 out of the deal. Without people engaging easy and difficult targets alike, there's no real difference between low and high sec. Allow carebears and industrialists to go about their business hassle-free in low-sec? Or perhaps get in mining ships and industrials and out-mine targets? Or fit ratting set ups for pvp so that its more of an even fight? This is Eve. This is what pirates do. This is what they are allowed to do within the game mechanics. If you don't want to get attacked then gtfo out of low sec.

However I should probably mention that there wont be a sequel to this movie that I expect, this character is scheduled for deletion in a little under a month, when my new alt can fly her wolf. ~2 months after that it's vaga time I do still have about 40gb of raw fraps saved from my misadventures in low sec, maybe I'll see if I can't splice it together into something worth downloading, but I make no promises Can only play with T1 and crap for skills for so long, too many fights I have to pass up, or just get slaughtered in, for lack of being good for anything. The last few minutes I really enjoyed. Looks like that Maulus wasn't using its bonus. I would probably have gone for it first, a bit paranoid about EW. Really, pure class. You should look up Ziva Daria's Punisher tribute if you haven't seen it already, different race, exact same idea. Can't recommend it enough, one of my favourite EVE movies ever. Logoffs

Haven't seen it actually, downloading now. As for the maulus, that engagement was actually my first kills with this character at 14 hours old. The merlin was something 4 months old, the maulus closer to 2, knowing the merlin had more of a tank a bit more firepower if used properly, and likely better loot, I wanted him down first assuming he was the actual threat, and then the maulus if he stuck around as a bonus. Was a good gamble as it turned out, rarely do you see EW ships using their boni while ratting, if i had an ISK for every shield tanked celestis I've killed...
