It requires a certain mental capacity to be able to fluently read and write that wow players seem to lack.

Wow is an excellent game until (like someone stated earlier) you hit the lvl cap then it becomes boring if you are not in a good guild running the instances.
Eve is similar if you are not in a good corp you most likely are sitting in empire space twiddling your thumbs. Which gets boring.
I have played them both for 2 years+ upon their release dates.
If you need a break from eve WoW is a nice refresher.

started eve in 2003... started wow in 2005. I still play eve, I dont play wow anymore.
Wow was fun with your first lvl 60 char, then you made another, did the same quests... then yet another..

Originally by: Selbbin Reppep So after two and a bit years playing eve, I realised that there were other online games out there. I got World of Warcraft for Christmas and I must say its a great divertion from Eve.
Anyone else play this game, and if so, how does it affect your Eve time?
See you in 6 months. If you don't find a motivated guild that keeps you in that game that long I expect you back earlier. Nevertheless have fun. I had some fun there, too, just regret a bit that I didn't continue skilling my EVE chars during that time. Hehe.
Well, some people seem to stay in wow forever. My old guild is there already for around 2 years since beta. Still raid-instance running like mad. They offer other players places in their raid groups now to get them epics and let them pay with gold for it. lol.
CTD/con-loss vs. log-out. A proposal for a fix. |

I have also been dabbling in WOW recently , and before anyone asks..
NO , You cannot have my stuff !
I may or may not be back, but im not giving it away, it took me 3 years to get it :).
Im finding it a nice diversion from my long standing EVE mistress. As weve fallen out of favour with each other since recent content and game changing patches.
I've lost my EVE way, cant see the point in loggin in at the moment, only to make sure im still training.
It may be the people or area I work in, but there is no PvP unless they outnumber you 3-1, local has IMHO been nerfed. The risks to some are too great to enter combat due to the ridiculous prices of ships and mods.
Anyway of to kill some Orcs.

It will be interesting to see how the release of Burning Crusade affects the numbers of players on Tranquility, especially as much of Revelations hasn't been very well received so far, and CCP don't seem to be giving us 100% at the moment. I've never seen Eve's playerbase as disillusioned as they are now, but I hope TQ can maintain its growth after the release of WoW's imminent expansion.
