- Make a mining laser opportunity to extract minerals directly from the structure of the enemy ship.
- The MAX HULL HP is reduced in proportion to the mined minerals.
- As the number of MAX HULL HP below 90% of the original it blocks the ability of the repackage.
- As the MAX HULL HP below 30%, target ship explodes.
- New modules: close-range powerful mining lasers and long-range weak ones.

My guess is that it is a weapon that bypasses the 2 rapidly repairable levels of defense, and gets the aggressor minerals to boot. and to get the final blow in against greedbaiters. 30%? riiiiiight.
oh yeah, and I still want my corpse barbie, hats, tradable baked goods and ice cream, and all explosions replaced by onomatopoeia.
"Bam, Pow, Zok, Whamo" not to mention comic style text bubbles coming from visible ships instead of local chat.
Trust me, you cannot beat me in my list of more plausible wants.

On the bright side you could do this and implement needing minerals to use structure/armor reps, and batteries to do shield reps. No more infinite logi. I'm sure someone would like that. |

Not only is this redundant, since it gets proposed entirely too often for the past, oh... eleven years, but...
If you want to fight, don't fly a specifically non combat ship. Mining ships are what you fly when you want to generate assets out of thin air with zero effort. If you want to fight, fly a combat ship.
