I just bought my first Cruiser (Vexor). It takes me like 12 seconds to lock onto a target....is there any way I can reduce this time??
I know there is one skill that is like 5% faster per level...is that all I can do?

sensor booster will do the trick, it gives 50% faster to ur targeting number or what ever ist called ( i forgot). unfortuantly it takes a med slot, but see if that works for u

Edited by: Segmentor on 08/01/2007 19:57:44 You should know that targeting time depends on the signature radius of your target. Therefore, cruisers will be faster lockable than frigates, frigates will be faster lockable than drones and so on.
There are 2 types of modules that speed your locking time up aswell. Sensor Boosters (mid slot) and Signal Amplifiers (low slot).
But really, if you want to be able to catch unwilling targets in PVP, you need that skill (Signal Analysis) trained up to level 4 at least. Preferably, 5.
And really, i wouldn't advise you to fit any those modules on your fesh Vexor. They do not have alot of slots, and by filling one or more of them with a sensor booster, you will effectively cut down on your tankability. Unless you really know what you are doing ofc. -----

Why would fitting a Sensor Booster which is a Mid-slot item affectt eh tank of a Vexor which is an Armor tanker? Yeah I am a pirate. What are you gonna do about it? |

Frigates have from around 25 to 60m sig radius. Drones have light: 25m, medium: 50m, heavy 100m. So it's a bit too much generalization to say it's faster to lock frigates than drones. Only light drones take longer to lock than frigates. ---------------------------------------- A Guide to Scan Probing in Revelations |

Ok some good info. I plan on PVPing once I get a bit more expirenced. Right now I only have 950,000 so I am just starting. I need to get more skills and better items before I dare PvP!

Because i'd expect people to fit cap rechargers to their vexor's midslots in PvE. Tank eats cap, and with his 900k SP i wouldnt expect him to be in posession of good cap skills either. -----
