Obviously, Maelstrom is being tricked into holding their own stations against a hostile force, something they'd never choose to do had LV not forced the decision upon them. Pilk, that's a pretty stupid statement, we were offered a 2 day nap to evactuate before we had any solid committment of help from any one. We declined, choosing instead to fight for what we spent alot of hours building. Your full of yourself. LV were asked to come and help. there was no incentive, reason or demand for assistance. no gain politically financially or territorially. ]v[ losing immensea will make no odds on LVs defense, as our location is not a tactically important position for attacking them, considering there are several dozen shorter safer routes to thier space. They CHOSE to assist us, and commit a massive amount of thier forces to do so, if they elected to do so because they saw some potential gain in it then frankly who can blame them. regardless of WHY they did it, all that matters is theyre in immensea and doing thier level best to help us out. I will continue to believe theyre helping us because they want to, they recognise our potential as an alliance and respect us for our wll to fight, regardles of the odds and regardless of the final outcome. ...in accordance with the prophecy

I was doing something else, minding my own business, when the word came down in our alliance that our friends out at Maelstrom needed help. I'm a newer player, and frankly not worth a damn in a fight yet, but I dropped what I was doing, got into the best thing that I can fly, and was on my way. How come? I'm dumb. The Maelstrom guys are friendly to me. I've bought stuff from them that I would have had to risk a trip to Empire to get otherwise. I've sold stuff to them for a good price. I've shared intel with them on gate camps up and down the HED pipe. I'm living out here in an environment were lots of sonsa***es would like to see me dead and run me off. Some of those sonsa***es were the ones trying to take my friend's station, so, dumb-ass me heads off to help out, or die trying. I died trying. I'll do it again if the call comes down again, even though I think that fleet battles in this game are about the lamest excuse for game play that I've ever seen. When you need an excuse or an ulterior motive to help out a friend in this game, dumb-ass me will find another game to play. Drusus

Unfortunately EVE is turning into a game of allied alliances because of the threat of entities like BoB. LV has done all they really can for -M- and under different circumstances ( read that as blue not fighting blue ) IAC would be right there next to LV defending Maelstrom Prime. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I ask noone on the side of TCF, LV or -M- to hold grudges. -M- are super chaps, been living with them in their space for months, and hopefully they will be absorbed into LV/IAC should they choose that route. If not absorbed I urge them to relocate and build back their coffers and prove that they exist for teamwork as they have demonstrated over the past months. I have seen them demonstrate that teamwork on a daily basis and have enjoyed my chats in local with all the members I have come across. Cheers to proving the South is one hell of a place of pew pew and politics. Cheers to Maelstrom for fighting the good fight and bringing an astonishing display of what a small alliance can pull off under extreme circumstances.
