I have gtx 970, which used to run this game max fps (144 hz for me) no problems.
Now for some reason the game throttles my gfx card. When looking at the FPS meter you can see a sinusoidal pattern with corresponding up and down usage by the video card.
I did change power setting in Nvidia control panel to prefer max performance, and that seemed to have even out the sine pattern, and sometimes the FPS will shoot up, but then it still will go back down to 60 fps.
I know my computer can make eve run at 144 fps no problems, but for some reason the game is throttling my video card. Any ideas?
If i disable vsync, the "fps" shows a higher number but the game is still not smooth like it is when its actually going 144. This seems to happen more with fixed window.

Interval option in graphic stings one option make game run at 60fps other unlock full GPU potential. |

this doest actually boost the FPS though, its strange.
When in full screen mode, this problem pops up less but still occurs. When its running at high FPS you can tell the difference in the smoothness and refresh rate. When in fixed window with interval immediate, it does say the FPS goes up but it doesnt actually change rate of the frames on screen.
Sometimes the problem occurs, sometimes it doesnt i cant replicate it with consistency. I wonder if it might be a GSYNC issue. My monitor is XB270HU Acer if that helps. |

what you descibe is strange
interval 1 will limit to screen refresh rate, 50, 60 100 or 144Hz are the common ones inteval none will remove any limits on gpu and fps
a gtx970, i have one, should be running around 400 fps and have no dip under 200
what your graph show is : low fps and regular drops.
do you have any application using GPU processing, like a browser wit acceleration 3D, or a playing video using GPU processing speed? do you have latest drivers?
your fps monitor should tell you what gpu and what direcx is used (it can happen that the internal gpu in the processor i5 or i7 is used instead of nvidia card) |

Had a similar problem when running windows 7 with aero enabled. Aero and in game window blur sometimes cause weird issues. Try disabling each and see if anything changes.

Memory faulty. Test your ram. The drop is always at the same point.
Test 1 : when you stand still the fps drops or not? Test 2 : when you`re moving the camera the fps drop then?
If test 1 is indeed dropping then its a windows full screen bug aero like some already say or other bug in windows mode
if test 2 then its a ram issue (or cpu) but most of the time its a faulty ram. Or the clock speed of the ram is not correct tRass tRTP/cas and so on. |
