Hi folks, I'm considering taking my ishkur into .1 and below space to do some ratting. I've been mainly using it to run missions, and my setup is thus:
3x 125 Railgun IIs
1x Named 10mn AB
1x Named Cap recharger
1x Named Web/Scram (I don't really use it)
1x CPR
1x 200mm Reinforced Rolled Plate
1x SAR II
4x Hobgoblin IIs
1x Hammerhead II
This setup does fine for most missions, though I've lost a few to "Downing the Slavers" and "Spy Stash" (damned sentry guns). I have a few miscellaneous skills to work on before I grab AF IV. Would this be a decent setup to go battleship hunting in 0.0? Should I switch out the plate for some resistance gear? Any brilliant suggestions as to how this could be a better mission runner? All suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

YOu shouldn't have too much of a problem though depending on the rats you are hunting you might to well to swap out the plate with a rat specific hardener. Every now and then for kick is rat in my pvp ishkur which is set up:
high: 2x nos, 2x 125 rail
med: 1x 1mn ab, 1x scram, 1x web
low: 1x sar, 1x reactive plate, 1x dmg control
drones: 2x med 3x light
(named and tec2)
and i although it isn't fast it can drop 1mil isk+ bs rats, and to be honest i've never had probs with the tank it is just the dps that occationally craps out on the bigger spawns. Anyways if you remember to kill the smaller ships first you shouldn't have too much trouble.

I know its about your ishkur fella but seriously, take a ranis. its better in almost every way.

I'd chose an ishkur over a ranis for ratting in 0.0 anyday.

ratting in 0-space is much easier in an enyo.
sigs are dead and CCP killed them

Drop the nos and use 3x neutrons instead. That's what I use for a nice (almost) 300dps. I need more skills in gunnery.

the DPS difference between ion and neu is not that much different but ion may get higher true DPS from higher tracking.

Heres what i used.
Highs
3 x Tech 2 Ions
1 x NOS
Meds
1 x Tech 2 AB
1 x Web
1 x Cap Recharger
Lows
1 x Tech 2 SAR
(The last 2 slots depend on what your fighting, serpantis can be tanked just with the SAR so use 2 Mag Stabs or a MagStab and a cap relay. However for Angels and harder stuff you will want atleast one passive hard in there to sure up your tank)
The ishkur can kill almost all spawns given time with 3 Ions and drones but a magstab makes a large diference.

Do believe that says Enyo.
I use Samirols Setup but if I'm in a crappier 0.0 system I drop the recharger for a named ship scanner. Only kill the cruisers with good loot and move on to another system. Ups your ISK/hour.
