I made an unfortunate typo mistake when I created this character and didn't notice until after I had plugged in some implants that a friend gave me so I didn't want to reroll...
People keep taking the p.iss now
It's almost as bad as when I created my character on the WoW RP server with a wonderful mass of ginger facial hair in traditional dwarf style... and then called him Red Bread by accident
Everywhere I went people insisted on pointing out the mistake...
'Oi Red... don'tcha know how to spell Beard' - was what I heard all the time was very demeaning and am getting same reaction here with Gaint
Was he a Rouge by any chance?

My name is from Whoa... ...Or was it BF2?
Perhaps it was the fact that I thought I was making a name I could change!
...and then I found out that EVE isn't CS.
Thank god.
It actually came from BF2, buddies called me the mop, because I always cleaned up house. They'd say, just get waxed? You got Lugalled. Hence the stupid name. ~~~~~~~~~ Caldari. It's so easy a Minmatar could do it. |

This would be the second-to-last in a fairly long list of names, starting way back when with "Vindicare", moving on to "KensaiRJ", from there to "Switchblade" then "Stitcher" and finally "AngryAngryMan"
AngryAngryMan is by far and away my favourite.

I'm not a fan of my name when I selected it 8 months ago but it's far too long gone to make a new main character.
If I did, his name would have to be Slanty McGarglefist!!

Was listening to a rather wicked c64 game theme remix (from Qwed.org) of The Last Ninja. And was rerolling my scrapper in CoH. Grendel was my old scrapper, hadn't deleted her at that point so needed a new name.
Lost Ninja was best I could come up with :D
Since then have used it in all my MMOs including WoW.
Sadly its pretty much the only name I have got that someone else didn't already have in EVE, in this case only one server FTL!

WOW made me change this name from a druid char. I thought it fit. Have used it through multiple mmos. I think it has a place in everything..fantasy, sci fi, rl. Anyway...when Blizzard made me change I just used Spankey. Which was ok apparantly.

Originally by: Glengrant A few decades ago a Gallente media corp distributed a documentary about ancient earth, including a chapter about popular hobbies of the time. As a merchandising tie-in another branch of that corp sold a PortableCluster version of WoW that became very popular for a few months.
After that it was all the fashion to give babies names from those ancient days used in that old game.
Don't forget that in an age with uncounted tens of billions of humans and parents trying to find individual names that aren't already used by hundreds of millions they get ever more desperate for inspiration.
So at what point in human history does this happen? I can think of quite a few names that are stupidly common, and people will still give the name to their kids.
I know three people named John Smith, and they aren't related to each other.

I actually made this name for WoW. I didn't want to use my usual name, because I decided it didn't fit for human priest. Now i have retired most of my old names and use Dappen. Though for CS, I still use RustySTaple (caps are important)

One time I made a trial account to WoW. I made a Night Elf hunter and named it 'Fagolas'. There he danced naked for hours while I ratted in lowsec. My trial didn't last very long.

Quite right Ethereal (may i call you Etheral? I know it's rather presumptious but one rarely encounters someone who is so obviously destined for greatness as you are.) A sexy elf name would attract entirely the wrong kind of attention from these space geeks. While your chosen name conjures just the right amount of enchanting ennui and poetic mystery.

I spent ages thinking about what a really good space name would be, my high school physics lessons came to mind and RedShift yes, thta would be great, its spacey, and kinda means im moving fast, and a bit hard to see.
Well damn somebody was already redshift so i had to put these numbers in my name! now i didnt realise there was a stigma to it at the time, but if i had it to do over i would have gone with RedShift as a surname, like "Lightning RedShift" or something... ______________________________________

I used Endrin in Earth and Beyond, but when I came here Endrin was already taken, so I picked Erdain instead. I haven't liked my name since then; would would pay 100m isk just to get it changed (I didn't know you could surname, you couldn't in EnB).
But alas, while playing EnB I also found out that Endrin is apparently a banned chemical, so it works for Sci-fi. Rock*Out |

I invented my character's name on the spot, as I made the character. I did the same for my alt's name. /*----------------------------------------------------------------------------------*/ My opinion in no way represents that of my corp or anyone I am associated with, and is probably entirely wrong. |
