Edited by: Teinyhr on 11/01/2007 23:29:40 Not sure exactly where to post this.. But anyhow on with the problem. I copied my EVE client - well the whole directory that is - to a separate disk on my computer. Then, I installed from this page the one that is on top (2.14.28296-2.14.28826 - [6.1 MB]) in that separate disk's client.. And voila, I get an error message that says "Incompatible (Release)".
And yes, before you ask, I did change the server from Tranq to Singularity in the drop-down menu. Sooo.. What's up, what did I do wrong and how to fix it? -------------------

the test server runs a different patch than the normal server, you'll have to download it from the site here somewhere >_>
try looking the the "game development forum"

Umm the patch is not there.. I installed the test patch. And it gives me that error message. Since I installed the version that looked the newest to me (bolded in the first msg) , it says that I can't use any other patch since they're supposed to be compatible. But that's not what the client says. So if I am to rollback the version number on my client, how exactly do I do that. -------------------

Edited by: BBQ on 12/01/2007 20:01:19 You can't roll back, only way is to delete your Sisi client and re-copy your TQ one and re-patch.
From time to time Sisi will hold closed client builds that CCP use for testing with a select group of people (usually Dev's, GM's and ISD members) so you may get an incompatable release for this reason, all you can do in this case is wait for a new client or a Sisi roll back (which they sometimes do, they did it a few times with Kali testing).
P.S. You did choose the correct server, even after you apply the Sisi patch you still need to choose the Sisi server to run it on, choosing TQ will give you the incompatable release error. ----
God gave us a brain, he also gave us a voice.
Shame some people have yet to connect them.

Chances are that they're running an internal version that only they can test - they'll release the patch for auto downloading, or put the patch on the test patches page once they want people to test things out. ---

I installed my test patch by downloading it with the TQ client. The patch asks you to choose a folder if you don't want to install it over the TQ client and there you go

Doubtful its one a month, its most likely when they need something test, before a major release. At this time its not been updated, and considering Rev 2.0 isn't due till after June we have awhile I suspect.
