Anyway...it's gotta be Morsus Mihi. In Shiva, alone, everyone has three characters that each have a carrier and a dread. It is well-known.

Please be more specific: Total number of capitals or number of capitals normalized to amount of people in corp/alliance?
Oh and do freighters count since those are capital ships too.

The question should not be "how many ships" but how many active and easily accessible pilots for capitals do you have...
Having 40 Dreads and never being able to get more than 6-8 pilots on for any one combat action is as good as only having 6-8 dreads.

As a rule, having more capitals and pilots is strongly correlated to being able to field more capitals. Certainly it varies, but I don't think by much.

I have seen BOB capital fleet and I must say it is very large.
I have also seen MC, Goon, and RA's capital fleet.
Not counting allies I would say BOB has the biggest Capital fleet since I have seen them move there dread when going for ASCN and others when I lived near NOL.
D2's fleet is prob on par with MC,Goon, and RED.
LV on the other hand is an alliance you have to watch out for since they been in Curse carebearing for 3 years.
When it comes to capital fleet most everyone that can fly carriers can fly the dread also so the numbers get cut.
BOB = 100-120 capital fighters
LV = 80-100 capital fighters
MC = 15-35 capital fighters
For every 3 dreads count 1 carrier.

Yes the alliance is not that old. The corps that make up the alliance are some old 5 corps and also old CA corps that have never moved out of this area.
Trust me when I say they have a big fleet that some people might under estimate.

CLS made an agreement with BoB, in which CLS gets to pull their outpost egg(s) and all the minerals out of the 5p- Refinery. (The first outpost in game)
In return BoB gets the second ASCN Amarr titan that was put in the factory 8 days ago.

Precisely - there's a big difference between someone in your alliance owning a capital ship, and that capital ship being used in POS takedown operations. The accountability situation alone (if there are capitals, who owns them - corps or individuals, and do those individuals or corps not bring their capitals) potential counts for a severely reduced capital ship use efficiency. The cynosural chain/capital movement coordination, especially over a large distance and multiple jumps, could also be potentially problematic. Last of all, there is of course skill in using them; the "largest capital fleet" might not matter if it's all personal carriers used to run trade between 0.0/empire or ***** plexes and freighters. Obviously, Svett knows this (check her sig), but some people might not. :)

Before the break down of ASCN they had the biggest cap fleet, although they may not of used them, a couple of friends there said 200+, then it would prolly be BoB or D2, Titans on the other hand would go to ASCN.... :P
