i have been playing on sisi with a blaster setup:
4 x ion blasters, 2 med nos mwd, 20k, web, 2 x damp 2 x MAR, dc, exp+kin+therm hards (or 3 x eanm if u want passive, give pretty much the same resistances (unless u trained up ur armor comp skills))
drones: 5 x med ECM drones, 5 x valk IIs, 5 x warrior IIs
seems to work pretty well, if the ecm drones dont work for a cycle u still have them damped pretty well

Everyone seems to use 2 MAR's but the cap drain on them is a lot. Using the SARII you can run it permanently, and use the MAR in boosts when you have cap available.
Idea of the Damper is so you don't get killed by long range intys and other small ships. So you should be okay with the 5 Heavy's.
Its an expensive fit, I used all T2 stuff to see if I could cram it in there. Most stuff will be T1 or named. Same with the Rigs, they arent necessary but something you can add on later if you dont get yourself blown up right away.

Ok, im a minmatar that flies gallente myrmidons. This setup has served me well so far, except when i ran into another myrmidon, this iwth an all out NOS which completely owned me:
4x450mm II's (Barrage and EMP) 2x NOS II
1x 10 MN AB, 1x Web, 1x scram, 2 racial jammers (can swap AB for another one, in that case, get another NOS)
2x MAR II's 3x active hardeners 1x EANM
3 bersekers, 2 ogres, T1 until i get T2.
NOS can usually feed reppers, but to be on the safe side, i fitted an extra one when i had a mock battle with a friends absolution. The extra NOS feeds the racial jammers, otherwise you get a bit low, so it really depends on what your up against, and how far away youll be.
Basically the same as everyone else

This setup is tried an tested for small gangs and/or solo pirating. BTW You can substitute t2 or named for t1 but realize ure tank and dmg is losing out.

both med rep II rep ALOT and you have nearly/above 80 resists accross the board

I know generally railguns are considered safer, more efficient, and much easier for missions. However, sniping got old for me real quick and I switched from 200mm rails to heavy ions in my thorax within a day or 2 of starting to use it. For me blasters are just so much more fun, even if they aren't the optimal solution, especially on slower ships.
I figure since the myrm has an insane tank when configured properly and the drones can easily handle most distant targets, it should be viable to afterburn to a target and unleash hell.
I was thinking Highs: 4 or 5 x Medium Ions Medium Nos Drone link(optional)
Med: 1 x AB 1 x Web No idea what to fill the 3 other slots with. Probably drone and damage mods of some sort.
Low: 2 x Med Rep 1 x 1600mm armor 1 x Reactor control unit(why am I the only person who always has plenty of cpu but never enough powergrid?) 2 x Hardeners
Drones: 5 x Hammerhead II 10 x backup medium and light drones

I already have a damage control... Why use damage mods? the drones are doing most of the job. And believe me, you will need the cap for sustained combat with the two armor repair running, or when confronted with energy neutralizers.

Now I'm sorry I didn't realize you had a damage control, I thought your lows where;
MAR, 3 active resists and an eanm + cap power relay. In which case, in my opinion, you should've dropped the cap power relay for a damage control instead. If you got a cap booster you really don't need the cap power relay. And if you don't you need to get a cap booster.

uhhh, your tank sucks. Anything with an injector + decent DPS is probably going to be able to keep a point on you long enough for you to die.

you will kill some cruisers thats for sure. but as for something bigger you will use the "running like a little girl" tactic most of the time with that setup since your tank will break like a twig. also your 5 neuts will *****your cap dry as well, not just your targets. and please, 60 million worth of cap recharge rigs on a myrm? thats some science fiction right there.

With 2 MARs running and a MWD, the 800s don't make it. I don't plan to have any CCCs on my Myrm. Everything is fine when the MWD gets switched off, but this just means I cannot run my second repper while it's running.
And how much time would you last given the number of 800s you can put into your cargo??

While I know this is the "blaster" thread, I didn't see anyone try to setup a Myrm for range. This is for a low skill pilot, since not everyone can max out on T2 gear.
I came up with this, anyone got a thought on it?

The web drones hold the target nearly immobile, while you can pummel them from afar and set the distance. your sensor damps prevent them from locking your webdrones effectively and you have fairly good damage. could always change the low slots a bit, to add more DPS. I just set it up for a good rate of survival.

The main problem I found with my Myrm was catching people, when I caught them they popped no worries. This setup is designed to kill small ships up to hacs and kills bigger ships fine aswell. Once you lock them down just beat the hell out of them. I had to chuck in a power rig but if you add in armor repper rigs it can make a very sturdy tank too.

I have a question about previous setup: Why use a sensor booster on that ship? Increased target range & sensor strenght is no use for a blaster/MWD setup or its just me beeing a big noob

Sensor booster: Gives an increase to targeting range and speed. Faster lock = better chance you'll scram them before they warp off.
