I can confirm that ASCN did kill at least 1 POS. I was in ASCN at the time, and we destroyed a small undefended BoB pos in OOY, which had no strotium in it. And that was done by people in the support fleet, which was mostly frigs and cruisers. No Capital ships involved - Nobody wanted to bring their personally funded dreads in. Why not alliance funded dreads? Well.... they seem to be missing to this day...... -- Slot 10 Blacklight's Modified 'GMhaX' implant +8% Pwnage FREE |

3. ASCN not destroying the AZN pos within a week of it going down.
I said at the time that if ASCN did not destroy our pos in a week then I couldn't see anything but us winning the war.
Not even sure I'd mention the AZN pos, you guys were at least defending that one. I'd go all the way back to the first GQ2 POS. We "held" TPAR, but couldn't bring anything to bear to kill one poorly armed and poorly defended large tower in our own system where we had a distinct capital advantage given that you have to take a long route to get cap ships between PB and PS.
Tell me, did ASCN destroy even a *single* BoB POS during the war? Did that anchored and fueled but otherwise unfilled/unarmed minmatar small pos in 0oy ever get killed? I can only think of a couple that even went into reinforced.
Several went into reinforced but clever tactics on BoB's part meant they never got a follow up and destroyed. Typically the pos would be attacked and a BoB inty pilot would be along fast to ensure the pos came out of reinforced during dt or at some other suitable time so they could easily defend it.
Kudos to BoB for that they have POS defense down to quite an art.

"Corm and any slave corps. You still took the easy option and turned uber carebear. Fight for your right to own 0.0 space people, it becomes much more satisfying."
You saying we didnt fight? We fought our asses off. We didnt take any POS down, did you STK? STK and CoRM worked together on many fronts in ASCN, its sad to see you speak of us in this fashion. CoRM had double? triple? qudruple? the kills than the mighty STK in the last month of the war, so stop calling us carebear. We know what it takes to live in 0.0. We are a 0.0 corp and we do it all. Ask Virtuozzo or Ask Tholarim if you prefer as to who was fighting for the right to survive. We still here stronger than before, where are you?

Let me get this clear DB.
The fact Bobo had spies on TS and basically everywhere else and the fact we had like 10 at least node crashes when BoBo fleet were already logged in even when ASCN pilots would immediately login after node crash only to be dispatched by a fleet of ships already in position. A lot more "things" happened that led to the passive attitude.
Don't try to sell your story about how and where and when we did wrong ingame and how and where and when you did right. You used tools that are not part of EVE or are not available to ALL players to gain advantage ingame. There is no honnor in the victory. All you did was fight with more filthy methods than your opponent did and we all know that whoever kicks his opponent in the nuts first is the winner. In this case BoBo did the nut kicking.

Read the last sentance of what I wrote. Enjoy it but ignore it if you wish.
And then move on or turn into another very bitter ex-peanut gallery member moving from alliance to alliance being completely unfilled with thier eve experience because they can't move on beyond the ineviatable.
Using the red mist will just stagnate you in place unable to take the experience for what it was and rebuild yourself into something else in the game as a better, bigger, more productive character.

The 0oyz small undefended pos was possibly one of the funniest tactics to come out of this war for us.

Surely that should be "We're still here, but we're slaves now, where are you?"
I left ASCN a while before the war started because I was fed up with the Alliance so sadly I didn't get to fight but I'm pleased to see that my ex-corp hasn't rolled over to have their tummies tickled and live as pets.

The mystery of how a simple little thread asking where the former ASCN member corps are can become an epeen measuring contest is one of those great mysteries of life.
It's like the transmogrification of water into wine. Only stupider. And performed by a guy sitting in his mom's basement screaming for hotpockets.

eXceed could have stayed and become subservient, but we chose a different path. I think what each individual ASCN corp did or is doing after the fall of the alliance is their own business. Each corp has to serve their members, and do what's best to survive in the ever evolving universe of EVE.
Although I don't necessarilly agree with the actions of some former alliance corps, I do wish most if not all of the former ASCN corps well.
To save time, why don't you avoid the facts and get right to the spin.

Ironically enough, being a smaller corp in ASCN felt a whole lot more like being a slave or pet than simply paying some ISK once a month does now. No need to bring up how ASCN HC treated the smaller corps in depth but suffice to say the term "whipping boys" comes to mind.

Frankly this entire thing should be let go. Trying to do a postmortem of the war at this remove serves no purpose and doesn't even follow the intent of the OP.
Let it go folks, look at it as a learning experience and move on to other things. Being bitter and throwing accusations of hax or lame tactics or former ascn members becoming "slaves" will do nobody any good especially not an alliance that is all but dead.

Mmmm, and somehow you don't think they were a slave corp in ASCN either? Guess throwing 250 pilots in TCAG as cannon fodder to BoB w/o any type of direction doesn't qualify as being slaves. Guess threatening pilots with a rusty old spoon doesn't qualify as being slaves. Guess making corps mine like crazy for secret little projects by ASCN leadership doesn't qualify as being slaves to a higher power....I'm sure all ASCN corps had an equal say in everything Please stop with the stance 'at least we didn't give into being slaves'. ASCN was built by orginal corps who walked away from a fight and an alliance through betrayal (see Xetic). The same corps are now denouncing or trying to take the high road for other corps making the decision to keep their space under BoB, pure hypocrisy.

We lost 1 small moon mining amarr tower in TPAR when ASCN first arrived. We also lost a small research tower in lowsec. I believe RKK lost a small moon mining pos in Delve, though it may just have been reinforced. Ars Celestis (sp?) running round Delve shooting at pos with their battleship gang was one of the more inspired points of the war and led to some fun.
I believe it was a medium research tower held by COIN in lowsec (right after Kali came out, so we figured it ****ed off the builder types).
I think we destroyed one of the moon mining POSs (not sure though), and we put a couple into reinforced.
Apparently the correct reponse to those gangs was Motherships, so we figured it annoyed you guys to some extent.

Those BS gangs were probably the most fun I have ever had shooting at a POS. The actual act of sitting in a Tempest shooting a POS was not very exciting, but it was very tense listening to the scouts on vent watching for that damn cyno frig. After the first time it all played out, we knew that if the frig got into the system, the Hel was going to be close behind. And we never came up with a good solution for how to handle the Hel other than "run away" and console ourselves with the idea that our BS gangs are at least worthy of a mothership response

TOGCO went through some internal issues shortly before the war started, and when it began in earnest most of the members merged into other ascn corps.
Alot of us are back together now and making our way with TNT. I personally enjoyed my time in ASCN.
As with alot of corps and allainces there were alot of great people there. I wish my former allaince mates nothing but the best(all of them).
