It's apparently considered spam now... Just got a mail from the EVE System telling me to take down the corp logo I so painstakingly set up outside our HQ. :C

It's only considered spam if it's placed somewhere that people need to go, like gates and stations. I believe you can still put can art up at moons and planets, or even a safespot if you wanted.

Maybe planets but not moons. Cans at moons obstruct pos placement and I'm pretty sure that's no longer allowed either since it was used as a form of greifing in the past.

quite true. i long for the day when we can shoot GSC's at all those belts without being concorded. i mean, seriously, guys, GSC mining is wholely inneficient, yet people spam hundreds of the damn things in any system 0.5+
warping into a highsec icefield is a nightmare thanks to these foolish people.
as has been suggested frequently in the past, an expiration, similar to jet-cans would be nice. whilst jet-cans last an hour or two, GSCs should last a day or two, before they pop of their own accord. i've yet to see a mining op successfully last mroe than two days in a single belt (especially since there's a downtime each day).

having some kind of tools to create "art" in eve would be really nice.
especially if we can then sell them to players and have a whole new market. :D

when walking in stations is out they should have this cause we allw ant something unique to decorate our corp offices.

its not just a nighmare warping in it also looks dam ugly as well if all them cans were my first impression of eve I'd be disguted :)

Aye, that is what annoys me more than anything, is the look of all those ugly yellow diamonds floating around. It really is almost disgusting and detroys any sort of immersion in the game. I can handle the frame rate because I have a good computer, but I do notice it none-the-less.

For cryin' out loud! Make it so cans expire. If somebody wants to keep their cans, they pay 1 isk per month per can or else it pops. Easy solution!
Someone please explain to me why that wouldn't work.

Please CCP save us from the eyesore that is can art ... expire un "touched" secure cans that share a grid with anything else. Make them burn 1 unit of Heavy Water per month to keep the digital lock working.

Been a long time but probably something like removing anchored cans in .8 and above. Believe me, if I'd have any reason to believe my pipe dreams came true I'd have anchoring of cans last for 48 hours and then explode. Then teleport into your cargo hold and explode again as a reminder.
But seriously (cause everything after the first full stop above wasn't), It's been quite some time since I did that. I'm pretty sure it's happening in Trinity but I might be wrong, I faintly remember pushing for making a decent system out of this which would clean up space after some time interval. Haven't been active enough in pushing that into our expansions I must admit and I haven't coded it either. But believe me, it's one of those wet dreams you never seem to get around to accomplish. One day, one day.

As well as 0.8 and above, all ice belts would be good.
Can't see any point in people anchoring GSCs in ice belts. I mean, how many blocks of ice do they hold? Pretty pointless, yet there's billions of them in the belts.

There should be a competition to make the coolest can art on singularity with the coolest being made into a permanent asteroid belt or complex structure on tranquility

Ah, abandoned GSCs. Never has an issue that affects the common player so little united so many players so very completely.
I bet if you held a poll for "most wanted long-needed fixes" GSCs would be up there with the Amarr and drone ADHD...
