Kewl so now me and the other two CC guys can warp to places we know the CA have defenseless indies, fire from 50K away and use our four micro warps to run away.
OK.. OK... this is kewl. This should add an entirely new dimesion to combat. Range will be a much bigger factor.

Quote: Good idea, but I think CCP took the easy way out on this issue. This should have been implemented as a skill.
Default range: 20km Skill: +10km / skill level?
Or wait, that'd suck when hauling/traveling...
Erm, as a skill, how?

Does this work with autopilot too or just a single warp?

Otherwise I am muchly not liking the mental image ;("
*laughs* No worry Mr.Eddz, Miso is way too busy spending all day dolefully looking into eyes of Ms.Constantine, and dribbling at the 4 ft square picture of her on the bedroom wall. :s
*hides from Miso's wrath*
(... not to mention i owe the backrub someone of different gender first, anyway >>;
judging from their behavure i suggest their not man or female, prolly a man playing mosta the time and his wife taking over at some other times.... (for both of ehm!) if thats not the case proof it! --- "this song reminds me of the girl i met on a schooltrip, she was really nice, and she really liked me. I forgot to ask her her phone number" - Nelix trist OMG im a pretzel!!! |

BTW, while at it, why not code a simple drop from warp button or right click menu option ?
I have wondered this for a long time but I think the problem has to do with the way the game is designed.
I think that in Eve warp works differently than regular travel and the system looks at it as a you are leaving point A and will appear at point B in x seconds and it does not keep track of where you are between that time. We just get a nice show created by the client on our machine to make it look like we are actually travelling through that space.
So in short I don't think it is possible given the way the system is setup. However, if I am wrong would LOVE for them to put that in. I have found myself doubleclicking on the wrong object more than once and found myself warping to another part of the system I never wanted to go.
Of course, if it is possible they should also make interdiction devices that players can place that will grab passing ships out of warp which would make for a more interesting and strategic game.

EDIT: Well color me Caldari! I just read this in the latest dev chat posted on evegate:
"< LeKjart> but also, we now have the cancel warp option < LeKjart> running on Castor. Just do 'Stop My Ship' if you are in alignment mode < LeKjart> and you will drop out of warp mode " I don't know if this only pertains to before you actually go to warp but it appears it just MIGHT be possible....
