Man, a lot of you seem to be living under a rock, or just simply can't read. For those that said:
WTF OMG!111!!! WHO IS THIS GUY?
Try reading the forums every once in a while. INNOMINATE is the one who's post generated 1700 replies.
For those that just screamed: "No". Why is it that unless the spotlight shines on YOU, you complain? Is it that hard to do something funny and fun in this game for someone who has added a lot?
And for that matter, why not more monuments to people in the game? Makes it worthwhile to try to achieve said status...

I have been reading the forums everyday for about six to eight months. I have no idea who this guy is.

Wow, so he made a thread with 1700 replies about his trip to 0.0 with a few noobs. Goons do that every day and so did ASCN till they all died from lack of bottle feed.

IM was a temporary meme not deserving of a monument, but maybe the dev's could squeeze him into a mission description or the like :P ______________________________________

INNOMINATE has actually done something of great good, which was prove that a noobie can go into 0.0 space and have great amounts of fun.
Some podpilots have continued to fly around in Eve because of him, and some have even joined because of his blog. He's been entertaining and it sucks to see him go.

I stopped following his 'experiment' when it got alittle absurd (donations from other players and so on) and basicly stopped being real. When he started getting 'gifts', his experiment was dead. It stopped being the whole 'solo in 0.0' thing, and given the status he gained, he was not 'average joe newbie' in any way, he was a celebrity, and again, his experiment, as interesting as it was, died.
However, wasn't he simply an alt, and not a true newbie? If so, then he really didn't prove that a 'newbie' could do it, but that someone with knowledge of the game could.
Also don't quite a few groups (Goonswarm comes to mind) bring true newbies into the game, straight into 0.0, and never look back?

My "favorite" part of these forums is that everyone thinks they are personal representatives of CCP and that they have ANY clue whatsoever about CCP inner workings. This game changes and develops because we give it input, humorous or not. INNOMINATE made himself famous to CCP and the Devs. They know about him, they like players to do just what he did, and now you're saying "You're wrong" to even think about it.
Pfftf. Humor is a large part of this game, and something that a lot of you guys need to have more of. So many angry angry boys here.
It would be nice to have a replacement for him, at least. Somebody to put the humor back into the game and the forums.
So many of you play the game like you just had a fistfight with your mom and lost.

First, i don't care about fame in a video game. I play EVE when I can, for enjoyment because it's a fun game.
Second, you're asking for a significant gift for someone whose actions, in the grand scheme of EVE, is nothing. He was an alt that 'proved' someone could make it in 0.0, yet was getting tons of donations from players, and standings that an average player will not get. Where's the tribute to the GHSC for their heist known in every major gaming community on the planet? What about Chribba for all the EVE-files work, a far larger thing than innom's trek? Dark Shikari for his insane forum warrior abilities?
Honestly, the problem is you think you're making a simple request, it is in no way 'simple', nor is it deserved. There have been alot of people too gain fame in EVE. The ability to become so famous is one of EVE's traits, not as rare thing that merits everlasting reward.

Less than 0.1% of EVE has ever heard of him, I certainly never found his stories that interesting because it was quite clear from the get go that he wasn't a newbie like he claimed he was.
Besides, MMO's aren't a popularity contest.

To give a final thought on this:
To suggest such a thing, not only do you need to express WHY they deserve such an honor, but also why others who have done as much, if not more than him, either deserve to be honored as well, or ignored. The guy has his own 'perma something' just as others who have done equal or greater things have theirs. Physical manifestations of an achievement aren't required for something truly great, because the act itself will never be forgotten.

I'd like to see the Goon and ASCN threads, please, especially if they're as good a read as INNOs, which is, in fact, something noone else has managed to do so far.
Funny thing is, that thread will stand on its own and doesn't need a special statue or anything if you ask me.
And the illiterate or short of attention span can just easily ignore it and post in their own little threads about how they pew-pewed up another 20 noobs on a good weekend in Rancer or anywhere. I'll be polite and not add my own opinion of how, say, Snigg probably does it better.
Thank you. --

Before anyone jumps the gun, there are three reasons out now as to where he went:
1) He died. 2) He was banned. 3) He got sick of being overwhelmed with chats everytime he logged on.
I think he did a great job and told a fun story. Who knows how much fiction there was in it and who really cares. It entertained.
But as for where he is now? My guess would be that he actually made it to the other side in Jove... :)

Don't think he did anything grand enough to achieve a statue or whatever but a little hidden easter egg as someone called it wouldn't be so bad. Somthing silly that had "Innomimate was here" as its description would be make passers by smile.
The guy may not have made some great drastic change but he made for some good reading and did well for himself for someone cruising around in a rookie ship out in 0.0.

^ What he said.
If you want to give INNONIMATE a monument, I suggest you petition (or rather politely request) that CCP introduce player-made monuments. Then people can poor billions of ISK into building statues of whatever or whoever they want, instead of putting CCP in the position where they have to decide for us who is an who isn't worthy of recognition. ----------------------------

If there's a tribute to Innominate, it should be by the players, not the devs.
The Pilgrimage idea was good. Organize a mass transit of people along the general route that Innominate travelled. And get pwnt by pirates that saw the same forum thread.
It'd be awesome, I'm telling you. ----
