IV's just have much more efficient Planck generators than the other models. At the time the IV entered the fleet, these new generators were bleeding-edge technology, but shifts in the mineral and chipset supplies made making a large ship with the older, less efficient generators more cost effective.
Pull up the March issue of Gallente Ship Informer if you don't believe me.

Iterons arn't all bad, if my maths are correct only the Iteron hull class ships can have enough cargo space to carry POS Arrays.

Speaking of Iterons.
Why does their engine exhaust blast directly on parts of their hulls? Now thats a piece of major engineering wont you say.
I keep playing in the vain hope ccp one day mioght get around to fix these small irks of immersion breaking game design but so far no luck with that. I can live with it but it s such a fricking bore of a design it makes me wanna ***** slap whomever designed it in the 1st place.

the IV is pretty much the same as the III, just more agile cause the ship is smaller, probably due to better technology and an efficient packer

If I remember correctly, and its a long time since I drove an Iteron, the IV gave the best bang/buck. So obviously it is targetted at those who mind the pennies. So unlike the I, II & III it does not come equipped with the usual Gallente extras, like a jacuzzi, wet tub and mud wrestling pit. Therefore it can be a lot smaller than its more junior brethern.

All of EVE needs rescaling IMO. Capsules, in space, are barely big enough to hold a folded up corpse, let alone someone floating more naturally.
And I've seen 3 cap ships undocking from a station - stations must get more voluminous as well.

The mk. I, II, III, and V all have bowling alleys installed (the V actually has two of them setup back-to-back). The IV was designed by a new designer who thought bowling alleys on space ships were a stupid idea; needless to say, that designer was sacked and the original designer of I-III was brought back in to design the mk. V and the extra alley was put in as the original designers way of saying "sorry" for not having one in the mk. IV.

Well, now I'm curious... what's a dry tub, if there's a wet tub? ----------------------------

You know the IV is faster, and truns on a ISK? While the five takes to solar systems to do a 180...
What I would like to see is another high slot on my V. A launcher slot would be nice.
But I also have a problem with right click to menu on my V have had it for a couple of years now and always have to open "my ships" to open the cargo hold in a station.

The IV is almost twice as wide as the I - II and III. So while it might be shorter its almost dubble up of those. And actualy its the Iteron i like the best when it comes to handling. Upgrading to V almost made me break down in tears. Its so freaking long and slow... Thank god it was only about 1day to get into an Occator

That's the story I heard, except that the designer wasn't sacked; he went on to do the Occator, the excellent Gallente transport ship.
Nowadays we play on our mothballed Itty V in dock. The crew say it isn't the same, but I get to play too. The Caldari dockers think we're having some kind of Gallente orgy which is mostly untrue, there's something about crates of beer and exotic dancers in the bowling rules. Guys? That's right isn't it?
Yes, they say it's in the rules.

That's the major reason the V handles so bad. Though it should have been obvious right off the drawing board...

The amar have the best haulers for the buck. Bestower can move a very respectable amount for only lvl3 skill, and the class below it (forget name) is the best hauler in the game IMHO. Hauls one giant can without expanders. Means I can cram stabs and nano's and beat any camp (beat a 30 inty gang on EC with one..was down to 1/4 armor though :D) ---------------------------------------- Friends Forever

The Minmatar Mammoth is the best bang for your training buck. It is not all that far off of a Mk-V and you can train it up in a week versus a month+ for the Mk-V.

That also would be nice...space for 5-10 med drones. Not alot to really do anything but show some teeth?
