Has CCP mentioned what kind of control scheme Valkyrie was optimized for? I mean do I need a mouse/keyboard only? Dualshock or something like that? Do I need to buy a flight stick... I haven't had one of those since x-wing alliance.

Game pad controllers are definite (I can confirm this myself), while the PC version will almost certainly (95% sure here) have Joystick support.
From all the footage, it looks like Xbox controllers, however I see no reason that you can't use a PS4 controller instead.
While i haven't heard about the keyboard/mouse, I suppose that is also a viable input method. If I do get it, I will probably get a HOTAS joystick for it.

the oculus is going to be shipped with an xbox controller ..and a copy of valk .
however its not my preferred method of control so it will be going in the bin ... im after a hotas joystick config |

We support the Xbox One controller (ships with the Rift), the Xbox 360 controller and currently the Saitek X52 Pro. More coming later!

Terrible controller support is terrible.
Thrustmaster Warthog + Saitek Pro Pedals. Constant drift throwing off course even with no inputs. Centering the throttle fixes it on left/right axis, but nothing seems to fix it up/down axis.
No way to configure. No way to DISABLE so I could use this crappy gamepad instead. So effectively you are asking "unplug your HOTAS setup or disable it in device manager to play our game".
Nope. Thank god I didn't have to pay anything for this beta product.
Could you let us know when you finish the game? As it is, if I were QAing this product, I would immediately reject it as unfit for public release. |

If you have a PC running Windows the XBox controller should work via USB port.
