Foyle didn't go on a powertrip as in stole/raked in either isk or influence - it was handed to her by the council and every single time it was Xirt that was proposing this. I remember that - I was there in the council meetings and I flew with her in PVP prior to these responsibilities. This was all when I was CEO of CoreTech/CET. Fact is that when Foyle finally got fed up with Xirt (as most people in the entire alliance did) Xirt started going after her for doing what he had asked her to do . Drilla Shinra Lotka Volterra	Posted - 2007.01.19 12:10:00 - [5] Oh man - a lot of wierd stuff being written here from both sides but mainly from Chris and w0rmy. To give you a picture of Killboards and PVP - my corporation in CA finished a 6th spot on the 'most lethal corp list' when Jaabaa made a final statistic. VOTF finished 8th. my corporation CoreTech had 24 active PVPers and a total membercount below 50 and still beat VOTF in the statistics. In terms of EU or US - CA was very very strong EU side but not very strong on the US side. This was also the reason that one of the main points in all the corp recruitments that went through council was a discussion about their US pressence as we needed more US timezone players. To say anything else is just plain wrong and if you disagree on this fact the rest of the debate is futile as your entire basis for debating is flawed/wrong. I remember all the drama from the CA council meetings, I was there in late 2003 and until the end. I saw m0o leave, ATUK leave then rejoin and then leave again (this was the start of the Russians vs. ATUK/DICE hatred) - I was there when SA was almost beaten into the ground and they had a daily peak at 15-20 online in the entire alliance (good work C4 alliance). I remember the daily graveyard (UQ-) fights in EU primetime and I remember Xirt often starting the fleet. I'm not going to deny that, but as soon as the **** hit the fan proper FCs took over like ED, Chow, Duke, Gunship, USS OMAHA, Lallante etc. In terms of alliance mining - there were none but at least a whole week a month VOTF would arrange a corp strip mining op and if you were on the side that blindly voted what Xirt wanted you to vote you could join the mining op. VOTF would mine while the other corps fought the enemies. The first half year of 2004 was the best - the alliance functioned well and there were plenty to go around. Later it became a race between the sides of having new corps voted in to gain majority in the council. On one side it was hurting the alliance but on the other hand as a council member this was one of the most amazing experiences in my gaming life. To see politics in normal people evolve to a state where it was I would never have thought possible in a game and for that I thank all in CA on both sides! I think the worst things to happen to CA while I was there (late 2003 until the end of CA) was the addition of conquerable stations and SkullHsC's departure from EVE. First the stations caused the rift that in the end caused first m0o and then ATUK to leave CA. Secondly Skull were the only one that when he spoke Xirt would "shut up" and listen, during Skull's presence CA functioned best as Xirt/VOTF were kept at bay and Skull managed to speak/listen to everyone of the other leaders properly, a feature Xirt never mastered. To this day my best PVP experiences was/is under the command of Chowdown, SkullHsC and Duke Droklar.
