If anyone passes by Ikao system in The Citadel tonight before downtime, stop by the Juunigaishi gate there and check out some Guristas frigates that have been moving away from the gate and apparently toward Ikao VI - Asteroid Belt 1 (or the planet itself) at 1,760 m/s for most of the day.
When I first say them this afternoon, they were a a couple hundred km away from the gate. Later I tried to chase them down in a Heretic when they were 5,300 km away, but gave up once I went off the grid where the gate is and the rats also disappeared. They can only be seen from the same grid as the Juunigaishi gate.
At this moment, they are over 57,000 km away and still chugging!
Personally, I think they're a bugged belt spawn trying to get to a belt without using warp, but who knows?

Hahaha I saw the exact same thing, and wondered
A. Why they were in range enough to see them B. If they were a mission Spawn
But yes, it was pretty funny, even though I was just passing through. ____ http://eve-tribune.com/ - A weekly fan-run magazine.

DonŠt worry. They will run one day out of fuel...or food...or motivation...or whatever.

Had this in a belt the other day I think. I arrived at the belt and there were three rats at about 30km and another 2 at about 180km. Weird I thinks. Anyway, killed the 30km rats and by that time, the other two were about 250km away.
Did some more belts, went back to base to pick up my salvage ship, went back to the first belt and sure enough, there were those two rats still chugging away from the belt, now over 1,000km away.
....I wonder if they ever made it to wherever they were going!

I found a bs spawn 1000km away from a belt yesterday. There also was another spawn right in the belt. -----

I would like to see more funny/amusing NPC behaviours for entertainment purposes. For instance, I was playing Medieval II - Total War the other day and during an assault on my Fortress, with battle swirling around them, a group of Spear Militia were literally all walking around in a circle. It reminded me of that scene in Top Secret where a large German convoy is going by and the camera pans back to show a few trucks going around in circles.

I'm here to report that the poor lost Guristas eventually just ran out of gas and rations, and suffered from sleep deprivation. The end result was a disgusting display of cannibalism, both of ships and crew. The last survivor eventually puked into his own engine and accidentally caused it to explode, leaving no trace of him or his compatriots.
Or maybe the downtime cleaned them up. You be the judge.
