It would appear that CONCORD has taken it upon themselves to distribute to capsuleers for free a text that supports sacrilegious and improper behaviour!
This is a disgraceful act from a supposedly neutral body. I have in the past kept quiet when others have condemned CONCORD for unamarrian activities, but I will hold my tongue no more.

What's more, if this isn't contraband in the Empire, then how bad can it be?
I mean, it's not like this is the only text widely available. Wasn't there a prior mass distribution of the Pax Ammaria? And wasn't that subject to a particularly strident edict? Maker, I've got copies of a lot of heterodox manuscripts. These things aren't exactly hard to find.
I guess what I'm trying to say is this. With all due respect, as an outsider, it can sometime seem as if the more conservative Imperial subjects are on a constant quest to find things to be offended about.

Ah what a conundrum.
Obviously, they do not seem to consider it a sacrilege.
And for free? Would have it been better if people had to pay to read a sacrilege?
Isn't there an issue in the reasoning? If sacrilege is objective, and heathens not educated in matters of the Faith fail to see a sacrilege, how can they be condemned for something they have not been taught?

They didn't choose to be born into sin, but they are choosing not to Reclaim themselves. The avenue to Amarr is not unknown to them in today's cluster.

Well, there is Sacred on one hand, and what we hold for sacred on the other, as well as there is the Divine, and what we hold for being divine. Our interpretation of God's will is merely that, interpretation, always changing, evolving, as History is proof enough of it.
That is what is subjective.
Changing in the hope to eventually reach the Divine, the perfection.
That is what is objective.
Claiming objectivity of one's Faith, Amarr or anything else, is a sin of arrogance to enormous proportions, added to the fact that it is rationally patently false.
It basically equates to claim having the same insight as God. |

You see Blake, unlike you and yours, I don't believe in censorship of ideas, even those I find reprehensible. The measure of any free society, with regards to speech, is how well it protects words and ideas deemed hateful, repugnant or otherwise offensive by the majority.
The Republic allowed the Pax Amarria to be freely distributed. It allows Amarrian missionaries to spread their scriptures and preach their religious beliefs without fear of governmental sanction or interference. While the vast majority of Matari living in the Republic (myself included) disagree strongly with Amarrian theology and philosophy, they do not petition the government to squelch their dissemination.

Now this I differ with you. I understand and commend PIE's role as protector of the Empress/Emperor, however, protecting a tyrant on the thrown without due course of reason is treason.
Just days before Jamyl Sarum II's return, many leaders and distinguished members went missing. There was not much time to investigate because after the great battle and her re-emergence, the military victory and clean up of Karsoth's regime was indeed welcomed, but her power came unjustly despite the means. The surviving Theology Council members were quick to instate her as Empress due to her power. All organizations and Houses bowed in silence to that power, yet many kept their ethics and convictions silent, in that someday, something would have to be done and bring this these matters to attention.
PIE's position was to simply support the Empress with fervor, and unquestioning loyalty (or fear). I had stopped calling these extremists Sarumites after several prominent members of House Sarum showed me their evidences and disdain for their errant daughter. Thus, Jamylites are those that refused legal discourse and redress by simply abusing passages of the written word of God, which in itself is its own form of sacrilege.
Now to be fair, some members of PIE have also convinced me that not all PIE members agreed, just as there was a silent faction of House Sarum members. My hope is that all organizations and PIE, will always keep a watchful eye, as well as protect our leaders from harm. Beyond all else, the Empire, and the people must come first based upon rational and law. Defend from scourge like the Blood Raiders, Sansha, and the Drifters.
Jamyl is gone. Only a fool fights in a burning house and we have real threats to deal with.

You seem to have recently come around to the belief that the lead of the Theology Council should be followed, so it's odd that you disagree with them on this.
You can't have it both ways.

One can look to the written word of God, or one can invent their own beliefs. Take care which you choose.
You are an upstart, Singularity. An advocate of chaos. Consider that many who have sparred with you have done so in defense of order, not devotion to any one individual. You challenge traditional values, not a single empress. |

Those who feel guilty contemplating "betraying" the tradition they love by acknowledging their disapproval of elements within it should reflect on the fact that the very tradition to which they are so loyal--the "eternal" tradition introduced to them in their youth--is in fact the evolved product of many adjustments firmly but delicately made by earlier lovers of the same tradition.
It is only those who are in constant revolt that discover what is true, not the man who conforms, who follows some tradition. It is only when you are constantly inquiring, constantly observing, constantly learning, that you find truth, God, or love. |

No, the authorities just stand by when a hate mob brutally murders one of our missionaries or when terrorists attack a pro-Amarrian play. Elsebeth Rhiannon wrote: ...if the aim was not to kill anyone, just to end the show, well executed.
It seems to me that Gradient has never been in favour of free speech except when it suits them.
Oh my where to begin...
First of all the government had no part in the killing of Jarek or the terrorist bombing that you love to harp on. My point was that they were free to enter our space and conduct their affairs without fear of governmental interference. That they had to deal with the consequences of their ill-advised, provocative and, quite frankly, foolish actions has no bearing on the fact that the Republic did not interfere with them.
Second, you pull a snippet of a post with no context and extrapolate from it that Gradient is selective in its support for free speech. You are being at the very least disingenuous and at the most willfully intellectually dishonest. I've known Elsebeth Rhiannon for a number of years and can tell you that she is oath bound to support the laws of the Republic. There's no way that she would support terrorism. It's a shame that your personal enmity towards her has caused you to besmirch her good name in such a manner.

Tell me this: how much effort was put into preventing these crimes? How much effort was put into identifying, capturing, and punishing these terrorists?
Here's the thing - not taking measures to stop crime is the same as promoting it.
Much like blaming the victims of crime instead of the criminals as you seem to be doing.

The context of Rhiannon's statement was clear - she wasn't sure why the attack happened, she was glad that nobody was hurt, but she was happy that violence had succeeded in cancelling the play. As far as I'm concerned that counts as support for terrorism.
It truly beggars belief that you can say that Elsebeth Rhiannon does not support terrorism with a straight face. The only real difference between Gradient and the Minmatar-supremacist bully boys of the Ushra'khan is that Gradient is better at PR.

However, both you and he are following creeds drawn from the same source. That both of you consider the other to be in error is a minor point. Both creeds presume the necessity of dominating others, just in different ways.
As to the original point. Max Singularity seems more than a little odd for an Imperial. However until the Theology Council declares him a heretic then who are you to do so? If Cardinal Graelyn or Archbishop have something to say on the matter however I might pay attention.

Perhaps you should ask your friends in Gradient how the Electus Matari alliance (of which they were at the time a member of) first came to PIE's attention.
Actually, don't bother - I'll tell you. It's when they started shooting at merchant shipping within Amarrian borders.

Indeed. We believed that Imperial Human Resources were trafficking in abducted Republic citizens. As I recall Interviews with the people we recovered from them confirmed this. And the agent work many of us had done confirmed that said abductions did occur (and still do).
Of course your organisation chose not to believe this and declared war on us over it. I suppose you would have had us petition the MIO on the matter. However, as you may recall, this was back in Karsoth's term as Chamberlain when there was no Emperor on the throne. The same Karsoth who turned out to be a Blooder. I think we had good reason to mistrust Imperial due process.

Down with this sort of thing!
Improper behaviour
Well-spoken, dear lone representative of a faith long-twisted to embody, and emphasize, the systematic break-down of societies un-aligned with the base faith. Although.... adding the base faith from which the Max Amarria originates to the original doctrine--I've recently begun reading from the texts, as the prior fellow hasn't use for these, any longer; combining the both of these, you may improperly beseech yourself towards the behavior as prescribed as an honest representative.
For all which I have read, thus far, the Max Amarria possesses the basic doctrines found within the original texts, although they are more well-known by maligned twist of definition and meaning. Indeed, should you wish a copy, I may be inclined, through improper behaviour, to have a research technician copy these aged pages out for you--for free, of course.
This newer text is, simply, unadorned with racial bias, blasphemy and cruelty. I like this fellow; he knows how to instigate proper behaviour, after all.

Because 'heresy' doesn't quite apply in the Republic (no, those Amarr Missionaries and those naturalised slaves released into the Republic aren't 'heretics', just people the common Republic citizens do not like due to what they represent).
The Blooders haven't exactly started kidnapping and sacrificing the Republic citizens either.

I never saw PIE striking at the Sansha and their ilk either. I have nothing but disgust for the fact that my alliance hasn't wardecced and torn apart those Sabik scum, but let's not pretend popping Nauplius' towers is anything but convenience. He's an easy prey that won't wreck you if you turn on him, but when you flew with even worse there was no action taken.
I also happen to know there's other Blooder elements in the 24th that just happen to be operating with impunity, but I guess taking on someone bigger would be... inconvenient. Besides, they don't offer the same IGS propaganda opportunities, do they?
I will gladly accept scorn for my alliance having failed to uphold Matari ideals, for it is the simple truth. Just don't pretend you're any better, Onzo. You and yours have flown with worse. |

Right, PIE was alone in fighting the incursions. I was referring to the ones flying side by side with PIE in the 24thIC but since you obviously know that already and are just trying to paddle away from the point, I suspect you'll have an excuse for that too. |

Ah, yes they do. Maybe not the capsuleers with a blood fetish, but the regular Blood Raiders do conduct raids in the Republic and in Gallente space. I've flown against them for various security agents. Indeed, it is seeing some of the survivors of such a raid on my internal sensors after rescue that has led to my hatred for the Covenant and their ways.

We are not in the same alliance as a Sabik or Matari loyalist corp.

First of all, I retired from the warzone on account of plenty of those same pirates, mercenaries and general uncouth spammers of local **** drivel that you yourself agree plague both sides. Second of all, I stopped fleeting with the likes of Local is Primary after it became obvious to my own eyes the likes of Battlemonks and Ediety were at the least Sabik sympathisers. Believe you me, I would have been more then happy to wage war against them had I the decision. Thirdly, I was one of the active FCs in the militia for a time and stopped doing so as I also will not compromise my dignity and spirit to obtain victory via the likes of pirates and other aforementioned undesireables.
Aay what you will of PIE, whom I still admire, but I know my honour is sound. I would more then happily have pit down my arms for a time against you and your ilk to allow a joint operation against Nauplius, an option I did infact push for not so long ago.

Personally I could care less about the Gallante and their fight, they by and large don't seem to care about ours. If he does that's his concern, not mine. I do however care about him and others who share my blood, even ones I really don't see eye to eye with. If that somehow makes me a Gallante supporter then what about the couple of times I've spoken up in defense of Neph? Does that make me a Caldari supporter? Or Samira, making me a Amarr supporter in your logic. |

For example if you have worked for the State your whole life and then betrayed the State and worked for frogs you can't defend yourself against charges in treason, listing for what good peoples you worked.
And that your "blood" worshipping... are you sort of minmatar Sani Sabik or what?... For example, I am Caldari. And defend Caldari Blood, because it was ideal of Tibus Heth. But does that mean I would ever support a gurista, who is like 95% of Caldari origin? Or a dissident scum like someone from that Arek'Jaalan? Were Caldari too, by the way.
That would be idiocy and nonsence. Your blood argument is invalid. You have supported Gallentean.

No problem on the exaggeration thing, happens to us all. Only thing to really throw in on the second part would be: I support someone who (some what) like myself currently Is merely fighting for money. He chose a group with an age old agenda, I'm currently supporting a group with a much more recently developed agenda. I believe he has said himself he could care less about them as long as the isk keeps rolling. How often do you see me actually come to the gallante's aid? A while ago yes I did a few times, but opinions change... |

There is a serious difference between fighting for money and fighting for gallente. Basically, fighting for money for gallente is both fighting for money and fighting for gallente. But what is more important, it is possible to fight for money without fighting for gallente. Though it is possible to fight for gallente without fighting for money as well, but these cases are rather rare.
For me, it absolutely doesn't matter, will he be paid when he fights for gallente or won't he be paid when he fights for gallente. What does matter, that he actually DOES fight for gallente. And thus, enemy of the State. And following, every one who will be helping him, will be enemy as well.
