We are a small new corp that has been Wardecced 2 days ago .. and i seem to be unable to contact the other party to get a reason for it (if there is any).
Altho im hoping to resolve this without a fight i do wonder what the rules of engagements are in a War.
Can anyone post me a link or something .. I know it must be somewhere here but i am probably not fully awake yet :)

Pretty much all Empire and low-sec space is like 0.0 space anytime you meet one of your opponents. Concord wont interfere, sentry guns wont interfere, you can shoot them anywhere, they can shoot you also. ---------- These are my views and mine alone. They do not represent the official stance of my corporation or alliance in any way.

1. I dont take it personal ... heck .. cause they will not reply to my (friendly written) evemails nor accept my convo requests i have no idea HOW to take this.
2. I dun talk in local .. not that any of his members are in the same system anyways.
3. Haha ... like we would be fast enough with only our mining skills to log off :)

Yeah, like everyone else said, there are no rules. Even the logoffski rule doesn't apply anymore to most people, and probably no one will care if you do it. Empire griefers these days will use any means possible to get a good laugh out of blowing you up, so your best chance is to either fight them off legitimately, or failing that spread out across several regions and wait until they get bored. Should only take a few weeks until they realize they're wasting their time and money.

If you have friends in low-sec or 0.0 consider relocating out their for the duration. Only parties at war with each other can shoot each other in empire, making empire potentially more dangerous than low sec (at least if you know folks who'd like to take some shots at the deccing corps).

You can destroy and pod them anywhere in empire. You can also shoot anyone ganged to any of them. You can shoot anyone remotely repairing or aiding them.
Otherwise, keep the conversation smack-free and enforce the no smack rule in your corp. You personally might not smack, but someone else in your corp might go at it.
Start planning early. Make sure everyone is aware of any plans that go around. Don't all crowd into same system or you'll be easily camped. Don't hire anyone during hostilities if you can, as they might send in a spy if you start putting up fights to compromise you.
Logging off during a fight is lame. If you have been locked and scrambled, your ship will stay in space for 15 minutes if you log. It won't warp away if your warp drive is scrambled. You pod gets the remainder of the timer. Logging off during a fight is a sure way to lose both ship and pod, and also respect in enemy's eyes.
Whoever inflicts more damage in terms of ISK wins in the long run. It is not who retracts the war dec and not the number of kills that grant victory.

They will probably wait a bit before looking to hunt you, so you get comfortable and lazy. In a few days you will decide they are a nonthreat and then they will suddenly be ganking haulers and lone operators. By the time you mount any kind of defense, most of your members will be thinking about leaving the corp or not logging in at all. Assuming they aren't with specific objectives in mind of course.
That is of course unless you read this post.

Also if they manage to fire on you or vice versa you'll be agressed. if you log off during this time they can probe your ship down and pop without you even knowing it until you log back on to a pod/new clone. __________________________ Why babelfish is bad mmm k "which the night do not expect that it calls the primary education before becoming deformed inside" |

5 isk on privateers.
and rules of engagemnet are....make the war mutual and go *****their hopefully loot-rich ships . btw u might also recruit some of the willing pvpers out there who love the opportunity to kill in empire (do never give these pvpers access to corphangers tho since in times of war corpthieves run around like roaches in the cellar)
